I appreciate that he didn't have a boring voice and he made easy memorization mnemonics, so thanks

I've been studying biology/biochemistry for years, and no one ever told me such a nice mnemonic for nitrogenous bases until now!

Thank you very much♥ But why nitrogenous bases need differences in forming nucleic acids?
@glow19235 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!! I managed to memorise them by the end of the video just by drawing alongside you.

So this is like the 20th video of yours I've watched in preparation for my Metabolic Biochem final. I think your videos are excellent and very well presented. I saw at the end of one of your videos that you are a tutor for So-Cal. It might benefit you to find out which rooms Biochem is being taught in at UCSD and post some fliers. I bet you would get some clients!

Hi, sarasunshine91. I'm very happy you've found the videos excellent. I appreciate your advice about UCSD. I just may go ahead and do that. Thank you! Happy studying! -Moof

I can't call it a 'hobby', more of a 'dabble' that I find myself 'playing in' and fascinated by from time to time! But I am completely intrigued by the natural elements, as well as things like DNA/RNA, and micro-biology / bio-chemistry etc! This was a great video as I'm starting to learn about my Nucleotides! And I loved your AG / CUT memory aids! Very clever! My question however is, looking at how you have drawn them, since we know that in DNA Adenine binds with Thymine (and Uracil in RNA) and that Cytosine with Guanine, is the place where they bind and link together within the double-helix represented in the upper most portions of each diagram, and where A's 'Amino Group' binds to T's or U's Carbon, and G's Carbon binds to C's Amino Group? Also, what is it you say, 'Carbon 'SOMETHING' groups?'

@TomAustinIII5 жыл бұрын
this is all incorrect. The correct chemical formula for adenine is c5h5n5. You did not represent that here. Guanine c5h5n5o you also do not represent that here. In fact, all of your bases are improperly drawn

Shannon-Marie Clerkin Lol. If you're interested in online tutoring via Google Hangouts, we can make that happen, even if you're in Scotland. In fact, I give free ~15 minute demonstrations/consultations so that people can know what a session might be like before they have to worry about paying for anything. If you're interested, you can email me. If you're not interested, that's fine too. No worries.
