I saw the Nkuhumas on another channel. I saw that they had fed recently. Two buffaloes within 48 hours of each other. Mohawk had his lion's share. The scene with the hyenas eatting, vultures waiting and the black-back jackal pacing was great. I liked your angles. The ending with the lions silhouetted with setting light was beautiful.

The difference of Nkuhuma pride and Kambula pride are so great, when Nkuhuma is feeding they let the cubs eat. Both Avoca Males are quite tolerant with their cubs. Unlike Kambula when they had feeding frenzy still after a meal cubs still looks skinny and you will notice the ribs of the cubs still visible. In Nkuhuma pride they let the cubs eat. God bless these two prides. I hope and pray they always get a good meal.

This is my very first time to make any kind of comments... Lions have always been my Favorite Big Cats and from the videos I’ve seen when I first started watching I have been Truly amazed & sadden by some I’ve seen I had never known the brutality of the life of Lions until I had seen Lions behaving Badly... Jeremy Irons was narrating a National Geographic on Lions it was the first one I watched this is where I saw Lions fighting a male & female had been attacked she was injured but survived her pride male was found to be taking his last breathe as I watched his head dropped to the ground my Heartbeat skipped a few beats as tears streamed down my face just as now it was hard to take I don’t know how You guys do it... it must pull at your heart strings I won’t watch any more Lions year & rip each other apart... Before I finish these lines...I would move to South Africa in a heartbeat if I could just to be out there with All of U and see what You see every day thank You for what you do for us... Sincerely Mitchell vonWald Webb City Missouri..*

Great footage, thanks for sharing. Interesting how the Nkuhumas seem to kill more buffalo than the Kambulas even though it’s a smaller pride. Do the hyenas actually eat the bone or are they just getting to the marrow inside?
@MalaMalaGameReserve
@MalaMalaGameReserve 4 жыл бұрын
Both! And the Nkuhuma pride actually has more lionesses (8) but numbers doesn’t necessarily dictate prey of choice. The Eyrefield pride of a few years ago - when they were 3 lionesses - killed more buffalo than the other 2 prides combined.

Amazing footage as usual! 11:17 those cubs sitting together is so cute! It's unbelievable how bloated the cubs get after a large feast. it looks like they ate their whole body weight.

Cinema quality footage. Applause to the editor. Looks like cubs starting to have mange infection disease. I noticed it on few of the cubs tails. Did anyone else notice ??

The mange is clearing up, they looked horrible a few months ago. Just shows how a few good meals can help tremendously. Lions are resilient, they keep trucking along.

Can I just tell you how much I absolutely love your videos!! It’s Nature at its best👍 straight forward up close and personal, none of this crap of editing many videos into one then adding some extremely terrible annoying music, I don’t want music I want the natural sounds of nature! Fantastic video, and I always love seeing this pride as Michael mentioned above it’s nice to see this pride don’t see them as often as we use to. Keep up the great work ! Thank you!! 🦁🦁👍🐾🐾

@@mamavswild I agree - but I think Blondie's been improving slowly but surely. I think he just needs to continue to buy more time and stay well fed. As long as the Nkuhumas continue to thrive and bring down buffalo the way they have been, I'm pretty sure he'll eventually be fine. I'm always amazed at the toughness and resilience of lions.

Nkuhumas...buffalo Queens. They are experts without a doubt. And the youngest cub just eating away. Needs the nutrition for that mange. He looks better. Can we set up lessons for the Kambulas 😉😉 Fabulous stuff as always. Thanks guys..stay safe.
