I really do enjoy the alternate endings. It's a really cool experiment on how quickly stacking only one type of unit can go.

Honestly I'd love it Tom took it even further and went back to some of the earlier maps he did and kind of re-tried them without looking at the original footage. And then try to beat his own original time. Like a race against himself. To see if he actually got any better as his experience with the game grew. Not sure if anyone in the yogscast has played this game. Cause it'd kind of be cool to see Tom 'race' against another player to clear the map as soon as possible. Though obviously he'd have to switch up the editing style a bit for that. But then again. Maybe it's not a problem that no one else plays this game? After all he seemed to have no issue at all bringing other Yogs into TABS to play against him even with him being the only one who knew what any of the units did XD

@@biekemeees6397 it also depends on the map some use more changes then others to make it harder, like using rocks some maps you can only use around creeper while other maps you can use around nullified buildings and set them free

This was a good one, not boosting made you play more thoughtful which combined nicely with the no rebuild

There's a map called thousand needles which pretty much demands that the stash is buffed to overwhelm the spam of mortars and absorbing ground

Oh hey, I literally just played this map last night! It'll be cool ta see how Tom approaches it. *EDIT:* After seeing the Alternate Endings, an LPAC map that focuses around Forbs & Mesh would be really awesome.

About your new best friend: I just played this map, boosted just and only stash (after it was done skimmers got about 5 boosts), assisted it with eggs and rocks and did the map in just over 32 min. I am as shocked as you are, but stash for once is useful :D
@-Gorby- Жыл бұрын
I usually boost the Stashes up to 5,000 or 10,000 depending on the map, if you get mesh connected to them they fill up really quick as well

i think that the skimmers stun duration stacks, so when a ton of skimmers land on one target they stun it for a really, really long time
@melind82 Жыл бұрын
Did a quick stopwatch check and it looks like the stash was triggering about every second, so about 16000 creep/s. Kind of surprising it managed to beat out the emitter which was only doing 4000/s fully maxed out.

The stash might stop upgrades to avoid it becoming useless. I remember one of the maps Tom's done before had a stash immediately turn all of its creep into AC due to some kind of integer wraparound. Apparently creep and AC are the same thing in the code, one is just a negative integer. I think anyway, hopefully I'm not talking out of my ass.
@etuanno Жыл бұрын
I suspect that the creep can only reach a certain height and if it gets too high and is outside of the world box, it gets converted into AC.
@KingBobbito Жыл бұрын
I remember Tom turning an AC emitter into a standard one but not the other way around.
@kuru5964 Жыл бұрын
The reason it wraps around is because each cell only uses one integer for both creep and anti-creep. That saves space and combines the creep and anti-creep cancellation and the creep flowing into one simple calculation.
@Loreroth Жыл бұрын
Creeper has a maximum height of 2147 if you cause it to go past that then the number overflows into the negative which is how anticreep is represented. Adding 1 creep to 2147 creep suddenly makes 2148 anticreep haha
@Groovewonder2 Жыл бұрын
the stash is INCREDIBLE, but ONLY on the condition that it is used well. never invest in a stash unless you're sure it can make a feedback loop like that or you're somehow otherwise limited on creep gen and need more in the stash area.

Hey, if you are going to use alot of buildings/meshe, go to settings, options and turn off smooth creeper, it should show the right depth, but the flood in the mech will look spikes.

TIL: Every time I've seen [LPAC] at the beginning of a map name, it hasn't been the 'tag' for the map author but the map type in acronym form. It took Tom literally expanding the acronym in front of my face for me to catch on... I can't even... I've seriously been going "Oh, another map from LPAC, that guy's prolific!" smh

Yeah the Stash has a cap at 16000, found that out on another one of these no exit maps and once you hit that 16000 limit you then start buffing it's cooldown rate meaning you can make it pump out creep in a rapid pace.
@Ellerion2 Жыл бұрын
Hmm... I wonder how the game would play if you only boosted the stash and until you had it maxed, did nothing else to spread the creep before the stash got activated... The game speed on my end is powerpoint-slide-like, so getting things done takes a lot longer than the game records...
