Idk if i am just slow or you guys are mad since i am still on canon of vengeance. (Although i almost 100% played canon of creation beforehand the only thing i didn't do was collect all demons lol so maybe that is a factor in this.)

Everyone plays at their own pace. Don't sweat it and have fun. Tbh I moved on and had time to platinum both Yakuza 3 and 4 in the meantime (I have lots of free time for now lol.) Although Astro Bot might be taking the spotlight as of late (my love for colorful platformers has to be fed while waiting for Spyro 4 with my bottles of copium.)

So it’s possible to refight bosses at higher levels individually and not only in the boss rushes? Do you think vengeance (excluding virtual trainer) is easier than the original considering the changed level scaling and the added gifts/boosts from Demon haunt and the innate skills?

Only in a boss rush, unfortunately. I gave up on doing Lucifer No Damage legit because each attempt would mean 15+ min of me fiddling with 2 nahobino fights beforehand. That's kinda bad design on the ATLUS team's end. I haven't played the original but Innate Skills alone make it much easier than the original version.

@@galvusgalvoid1510 That's the point: most of these can also be counteracted, and you usually have 4 demons, which means more synergy on your own end. Nocturne (and 4) are definitely much harder than Vengeance.

You say Nuwa only uses Mazio at the start and then spams zanma "for some reason".... The nahobino nulls elec. She uses mazio, sees you have null elec on one of you party, and will never use it again until that party member changes out... Just like every other enemy in the game with an aoe elemental attack.

No. She spams Zanma even if you have Nahobino nulling Force and not Elec. You give too much credit to the boss AI.

@kaiserkreuz2110 ...Zanma isn't aoe. If you fight Mastema with null light he won't use Mahamabarion (once he's gotten n/d/r'd) but he will spam the shit out of hamabarion still. And the boss patterns are coded of course, so some behaviors are more consistent.

@@CrucibleOfHate I never said anything about AOE (and I missed that, my bad) but i'm pretty sure even with no Null Elec, she would still use Zanma only afterwards. At least, that's the experience I had with her. I'll test that when I get the occasion. Also, Mastema spams AOE attacks always after he uses single-targets twice, which is a punishment for triggering his Innate (he usually goes single-target x2 then AOE until he has no turns left, which is why you see Great Lament spam videos.)

@@kaiserkreuz2110 That last bit does make sense, since I've never once had Mastema attempt untainted wind against me lol M very first fight with Nuwa I got murdered by Mazio use so I know for a fact that she uses it more than once lol The AI very definitely chooses not to use aoe spells that get n/d/r in general and it's pretty easy to test that, I swear I'm not making this shit up Fun fact, demi-fiend will *NEVER* use Gaea Rage into repel phys/impenetrable purity or vinyl bomb/enduring soul I was hoping he would oneshot himself lol

@@CrucibleOfHate Yeah, it's easy to miss when you have all the necessary counters against him. That's also why you don't want him at 8 turns during his Almighty turns (2 Freikugels + up to 8 Great Laments, depending on how many Frei crit.) I know I didn't have her use Mazio more than twice, and actually attacked Nahobino (with Null Force) repeatedly with Mazan (which is what concerned me in that case.) Yeah, compared to Nocturne, the enemy AI has improved a tiny bit since their turns can very easily be eaten in that case, but this can still be tricked by switching to new demons everytime with NDR the element you know they use (like switch into Deadly Fury from Demi-Fiend.) Yeah, I experienced it because I know his gaea Rage would do 99999 damage, but then seeing how it didn't trigger, I then realized how OP his own Innate is. As an ally, you can use him to Chaotic Will Satan without him triggering his Adversary, or against any enemy with countering Innates.

Im assuming you're using freikugal instead of Recalcitrant execution on masakado coz of MP cost? Another option i would propose would be to put high restore instead of freikugal to bring down the cost of Recalcitrant execution by 20. It would still cost 69 mp but maybe it would be enough to get you through the fight fast enough that you wouldn't need to use soma?

Low MP cost + high crit chance for turn generation. Against level 999 enemies, I have around 16% chance to crit with Recal against 36% with Freikugel (and that's assuming they have an average of 750 Luck.) While the MP cost is annoying, Recal's issue really is the non-increased crit rate, which is also why I don't like using Murakumo. Recal is better on Critical turns, although I use it only with buffs on, so the damage becomes worth spamming it.

Girimekhala, Rangda and Mother Harlot for the protag (Mother Harlot is the best one with all the other resistances), and (SPOILER) Fallen Abdiel for passing the skill to other demons via fusion and essence. Also Serpent Nuwa has Drain Phys for fusion and essence too.

Yes, Artemis is busted for that kind of challenge. Fallen Abdiel gives Repel Phys, and I use Demi-Fiend's essence on Nahobino.

Satan, and most Level 999 fights (because they all have much higher stats than Demi-Fiend.)

@kaiserkreuz2110 I’ve seen a lot of people say that godborn is just grindy and not really more difficult than base game strategy-wise. I thought normal demi-fiend or his godborn version would remain the most complex fight in the game.

@@galvusgalvoid1510 Godborn isn't that much complicated yeah, the main difference is that enemies run on Omagatoki: Pierce instead of Critical. Level 999 bosses though have Pierce and one additional Press Turn.
