no literally same. accidentally clicked on a short while trying to put on a sleep aid, fell down a rabbit hole that kept me up well past midnight lol. i’m mostly norwegian but grew up in america with american family (on my mom’s side at least, no clue about my dad’s bio parents but his adoptive ones are strict catholic brazilian italian) and i’ve been trying to connect to my roots for my entire life. learning norwegian and swedish and some icelandic, the anthropology of the region, practicing norse-celtic paganism, one day i wish to return to the place i consider home even though ive never been. my family has forgotten in the generations after leaving scandinavia, but i feel norway calling in my bones and in my dreams. in the meantime, this channel is great for learning more about some aspects of the culture and has given me a deeper understanding of the land in the 3ish days since ive discovered these shorts, and they feel oddly cleansing and give me hope for my future, wherever it may take me (tho preferably north, lmao)
