The Nordschleife Is Here 🏁 - First Impressions and Update 5 Highlights - Forza Motorsport

I want to take you along to my very first lap on the Nordschleife in Forza Motorsport.
We're gonna do that in the 2020 BMW M2 with the iconic Bilstein livery.
You might know that one from @Jimmy_Broadbent, @Super_GT and @mgcharoudin.
Though I remembered that incorrectly, they were actually driving a BMW G20 330i.
But still, we're gonna have some fun on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and see what Update 5 has in store for us.

My favorite track by far. Saw it on Top Gear years ago and caught a fever vicariously through Sabine's assault on the course with a van. Result is I have been waiting for this in Forza for months. I'm awful at it and I don't even care, just get so much joy from driving around it while trying to avoid the walls.

Nordschleife feels great, so sad that there are no trackdays in the game and you have to search people for it.

Love having this track back. This version seems to be quite a bit more narrow than past version in FM and for whatever reason I really feel the elevation changes more as well. Ive never been to the real track but compared to all the on-board videos ive watched this certainty seems more true to life. Between additions like this, some new interesting cars like the GT4 RS and the 74 RSR, and of course the upcoming car upgrade changes.... it finally feels like this game is on track.

@@benloooo yes but doesn’t that mean they would just have scanned the UK or EU spec? The Slightly wrong front bumper from the 2020 with the canards for lack of the better official term but I hope that’ll be fixed as it is in Horizon 5.

I still cannot understand why they dont give us the view settings options , allow us to move the camera inside the cockpit (seat position) without chenaging the fov , the seat position its very very important for us with sim rigs. How we suppose to line up view ? Damn , even a 10 years game like Ac or pjcars 2 we have this option avaible

The AI did that before as well. Turn10 is working on improvments, but I don't think they are in yet.

Drove one of my favorite cars the 2016 Aston Martin Vulcan and I had a blast awesome track. Will race it alot more often.

Hello HD, I tried a couple laps this evening on this beautiful and storied track. Can’t believe how narrow and difficult it is. Also had similar experience with the AI drivatars. For me this will strictly be a hot lap track and will take a very long time to be minimally successful. I found I had very poor traction on certain parts also. However as you said it’s a great addition. WRT updates, I am disappointed that update 6 won’t be added until early April. That seems a little too long in my opinion. Once again, thank you for the informative video. 😀👍

With the events being scheduled for 4 weeks, I would have assumed Update 6 to come in mid-March. Did they confirm early April somewhere?

@@HDeeRacingI just checked the FM forum and believe I misread update 6 release date. It states update 5 contents will be available for download until April 2. I wrongly interpreted this to be the release of update 6. I feel better about this now👍

I'm expecting C H A O S never seen before in this week's races if nords is included in the rotation! Driving in the dark looks to be a little less challenging as they've (no idea if these existed in previous games) added giant stadiumlights at some corners. Car wise... I'm mostly excited for the caddy (this is a very rare car for racing games) and TA mustang. That classic porsche has also peaked my curiosity as i have no clue in what division it sits in (probably forza specials). The rest really feels meh for now. But the multiplayer spec series i'm SO PUMPED for! Proto H = more prototypes so big 👍 from me! I get a proper chance at the old GTOs and GR.5 racecars and a mustang spec series that's for sure gonna be a hit with the crowd! Bring on update 5!

Yes, there will be so much chaos, you just gotta embrace it I think. Didn't notice the lights when driving, but you're right, they will make the track a whole lot brighter at night than it actually is. For cars, I was thinking for a moment you were looking forward to the VW Caddy. 🤣

This just in! I got told by a friend, and was able to confirm this myself, that the black and Blue Audi TTRS racecar available in Forza GT is now useable in featured multiplayer Forza GT races. Not sure if they put that in the patchnotes as well.

Great track, never driven it before and the first time I only fatally crashed 4 times :D I really hope we'll get a NLS style Spec event in multiplayer.... otherwise I'll definitely join any private multiplayer GT3 race you or anyone else is hosting :D

Very frustrating what they've done to multiplayer. Now anyone with a monitor higher than 144hz gets their fps cut to a 3rd instead of half when racing online, so I get 55fps max because i have a 165hz monitor, the game gets super choppy. I have to go out of my way to lower the monitor to 144 to get half, around 72fps. Im on the edge of just quitting even with this track releasing, the only reason i stuck around.

That seems so weird. Haven't been in multiplayer myself yet after the update, but with my 100hz monitor I fear the worst. 🙈 Really stupid to handicap PC players with reducing FPS anyway. I can understand your frustration.

Hi, seems very good I've been told that, yes you can buy a ticket to drive on it, but you must be very careful, becaus you have to pay for any damage you make to the barriers and even the grass, and it's no cheap LOL

Oh yes, it can be a very expensive trip if you are overconfident. Also a lot of insurance will not cover you for accidents on the Nordschleife. 🙈

Forza Motorsport, 1) needs stronger rules, in time penalties, for those who ram you off the road, online. And, 2) those that can take 20 seconds per lap, to the rest of the field. Beat all drivers 15/20 seconds per lap. That has to be done through cheating. No one can beat the whole field like that. I'm already looking for cheats, lol...

About blaming the AI, you don't pass on the outside in a slower car. There's no room for the Porsche to go. Try on the inside next time. The other pass I don't know why you even tried there, racing line takes the whole track and you're trying to dive bomb. Don't think AI is cut out for that just yet... in any game.

So you inspired me to jump back on, been gone almost a month playing GT7 & F1 23. And all I can say is Forza needs to STOP RIGHT NOW! and start working on a new game all together cause OMG it's so bad!!! The control, feel of the car all together it's such a bad game!! I'm an so sad about it but it is fact. It is just not fun at all!! Not to mention I see the community hasn't gotten any better!! Such shameful driving!! Complete early but did not include the right sound bite for going carousel lol!!

Imo the handling and driving feel are what FM does best and why I still play it. The systems around it still need changes though.
