I've been asked what Odin is like when people find out he's my main god, or if they aren't pagan. I tell them "Odin is like a dad who is an important businessman who has to travel often for work. He may not be there all the time, but he is very interested in you and what you have learned and accomplished. Every parent wants to see new stuff that their child has learned and see what accomplishments they have achieved."

Odin has been the most unique deity I've worked with. He disappears frequently but appreciates offerings DEARLY. I nearly ripped up a drawing of him I didn't like and I felt him scowling at me, so I changed my mind. He is blunt and will not sugarcoat anything. Even if he leaves a lot he never chooses a follower by accident. He chooses you, he means it.

I definitely have the same feeling. While other deities seem to be fine sticking around for a while and dabbling a little bit, Odin seems to be in for life because he has some serious plans with people. I‘m excited to see where he will lead me ☺️

Thank you. Odin entered my presence today, washed over me with fatherly love, said his name is Odin, after which a crow called out from the forest behind my house. It was a wonderful gift. He said he’s here to help me heal my wound with masculine relationships, lend protection and guidance in my last remaining years in the army before I retire. He’s excited I’m learning tarot, that plenty are learning runes. This is such a gift, as I never desired to work with Gods, only Goddesses. I’m in awe of how he just showed up, like you said. It was unexpected, yet divine timing. Thank you again for sharing your wisdom. It was confirmation of what I just experienced.

I’m pretty sure Odin has been calling out to me: I was shuffling my Tarot Deck, and instantly the Hanged Man fell out. I put the card back and carried on shuffling, and it fell out again. I then meditated with the deck, asking if Odin was reaching out to me, and pulled the Hanged Man once more. (Bare in mind that I did not know that that card represented him, I had to research what it meant). So I can confirm he did pop up unexpectedly, because even though I knew I was ready for deity work, I never thought someone like Odin would reach out to me. I then did more Tarot and he told me to leave the past in the past, begin on this new journey and to trust the universe

Id say Odin is actually exactly the reason I found your videos and subscribed 🤯🧐🙂 My husband is a norse pegan, I was a christian then turned more to spirituality/ meditation/ universe/ energy, ect. We just got a puppy who will be a huge dog when he is full grown, so my husband named him Odin. Since then my interest has sparked and ive deep dived into norse mythology, magick and now your videos. Side note, we woke up the other morning to the sound of a huge raven crowing outside our window, I personally think its because weve been saying the name Odin outloud alot. The human expirience is such a crazy, exciting, beautiful and surprising one.

I really enjoy your channel & this was another great video. I honestly giggled when you said he doesn’t always hang around. Last week he made his appearance quite clear to me but before that it was in the winter😂. But he does that from time to time. Where I use to live there was a rescue raptor place that I use to visit & help out with. It was pretty amazing working with the ravens, crows as well as hawks. I find he was happy with me dedicating a bit of my time to visit them & even bring them toys. As I think it was just as giving him an offering as well. :)

The self sacrifices Odin asks of you are quite reasonable and sometimes very personal to you. Odin had me swear 3 oaths to him of self sacrifices. 1.) Give up Soda: soda always trips me up and leads me to an unhealthy life even if I only have one. Its strict. However, he said energy drinks dont count for me but wants me to find a new method of energy at some point. 2. Oath to not take my own life. I suffer from severe depression and I've made two attempts in my life and I'm not ashamed to admit it; everyone has really dark moments. Odin requested that my second self sacrifice to not be in control of my own mortality and check out early. That I have much to live for and much work to do before my time. 3. Much like the 1st one, chocolate bars. Same reasons as the first one. This one during a pendulum session where he spelled out for me what he wanted as a sacrificial oath. I asked why this one since the previous oath was to not end my own life prematurely, what was spelled out was "because Odin and Freya demand it". I ended up laughing and I actually heard a deep laugh around me and that was my third. Some, Odin is stern with, others hes quite friendly with. Hes fatherly to me mainly because my own father was an abusive selfish prick. Odin led me to the runes (perthro first for needed guidance), I have written nearly 300 pages on my studies of the runes. I owe Odin everything. Great Video!!!

Thank you for sharing! Especially the second sacrifice, because I know it’s a really personal one, so that you Shared That with me, I’m really grateful for! And yes I also think the sacrifices Odin asks from me are reasonable. Never did he ask anything of my which I couldn’t do or which could’ve been really dangerous. I was challenged by it, yes. But in the end I alway succeeded ☺️

@@TheNorseWitch thank you. That's what I've come to understand with the Allfather. Everything he asks of you is so you grow as a person and become wiser. Often he tells me to not be concerned with my.own darkness but to accept it because it makes up half of me, but not let it define the whole. In sessions with Odin, he has manipulated flame in impossible ways and made deliberate patterns, made the flame grow to amazing size while being needle thin usually as a method to refocus me (I have ADHD). It always works. Hahaha. He helped me land a job I desperately wanted to better my life and my family's life. He often challenges me to better myself and to not hate myself

@@TheNorseWitch glad to know I'm not alone! Odin often gives me words of wisdom when I need them in these sessions. He has great sayings like he once told me "a man walking down a path may not trip on his route and will have a great view of the discarded twigs and loose stones on the road but in the process of not stumbling will miss the gorgeous sunset and wondorous wildlife just in front of him"; this was in regards to me being afraid to make mistakes on my path to a better life.

I have felt connected to Odin for over a year, Ever since my friends and I were discussing pantheons and they pretty much unanimously said I reminded them of Odin. My whole life I have had an insatiable appetite for learning about history, and I have always been amazing at learning and memorizing subjects, even if i'm a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to busy work. Beyond that, I am a composer, artist, and lyricist, and in fact I am currently in the process of writing a whole album based on the words and lessons of the Hávamál! The reason I'm here now is because yesterday was a very tough day. My partner and I had a fallout, them basically listing a bunch of things I did that upset them that I never knew about. I realized after thinking about it for hours that if I had listened to his advice in the Hávamál, and been more inquisitive and observant instead of immediately trusting their words and letting the subject go, things might be different. My second realization came when I remembered that I had seen and bought a certain item on a whim that very day. That item happened to be a black, wide brimmed hat. Because of that, I realized that Odin truly has been trying to signal to me, possibly for even over a year, and I think it's finally time to truly start working with him on a regular basis. In fact, the reason all this has happened may be a sign for me to not get to content with myself, for there is always more to learn and more ways to improve. I was extremely glad to hear that Odin really likes non physical works of devotion as offerings, exactly like my Hávamál pieces that I have been working on. I think it's time for me to work on those with his guidance.

AGGGH 😂 a serious teacher he is. This morning I actually got very abrupt and very stern criticism from him, all of which very understandable. Woke up with the lights I hang around my room on my face, throughout the week the wall hooks were kinda wearing so I replaced them, and for some reason all the ones I replaced popped off so that was fun to fix at 5 in the morning. My lamp on my desk doesn't work anymore, I've been needing to replace it also but it just died today so no more late night working until I get that fixed. But right after I was done with the hanging lights, my nose started to bleed :D badly. So at that point I'm like "okay, this is either something trying to fuk with me rn, or this is an incoming message from big papa." I had my suspicions it was him because I kinda have been neglecting making offerings. And after a couple readings It was confirmed to be Odin. telling me to get my shit together. Not surprised 😂 for a while I've put off doing lil bits of studying and tiny offerings and hikes due to focusing on getting my ass settled into college. In my experience Odin takes education seriously, I dedicated studying in school to him on Wednesdays and after graduation got a lot of good things back as congrats. now that its summer I haven't been motivated to do much. But with how much time I have until my semester starts I can understand his annoyance. His energy wasn't damanding or reprimanding for my lack of attention. At worse Odin just doesn't respond to me for weeks (which has happend before). More so his energy was a teacher very concerned for his student who hasn't turned in any homework for 2 months and is about to fail the semester. Welp. Back to work ig.

Stones that Odin likes: Black obsidian and Apache tears are a definite yes. In my experience he also likes hag stones, black and blue onyx, geodes. Mainly things that you do for him (as you said) is what he appreciates. He also loves divinatory tools. I crafted wood runes. They were my first runes. I crafted them to start my journey. They were very strong and gave blunt answers. I gifted them to Odin as a thanks. Ever since then, I cannot read them.

@@TheNorseWitchthat'll definitely keep them charged. Occasionally, I cannot read tarot because it's his way of telling me its time for me to study runes more and then after a few months I cant read runes when I know them well because it's time I work with tarot again... his reasoning is so I'm not reliant on just one form of divination.

I've been an atheist for many many years from my childhood. In 2020 the world ended for a while and I was alone. I began seeing ravens around me watching me constantly. Thank you so much for making such a great video! I’ve been passively interested in norse paganism and witchcraft for two years now and from the moment I started researching the gods, it became super apparent to me how connected I felt to Odin. I don’t have an incredibly active practice but I feel as though Odin knows exactly why I haven’t dived into practicing and if anything still supports me and shows me/speaks to me even without any regimented practice. I feel like my struggles with mental illness and my dedication to studying to become a doctor are my main priorities and Odin is like “honestly, i get it… no biggie” and will send me hard lessons when i need them or sends me messages in my dreams frequently to help with my doubts. with that being said, i just got a job interview for a hospital that i’ve been praying so hard to get a response from and even if nothing happens i know that I need to give an offering to show my gratitude. thank you again for all the helpful information 😊

I remember when I first met him. I was new to paganism and still finding my feet. I was terrified. I remembered him laughing at my antics. And the more I researched the more worried I'd got. Here was this war god obsessed with self sacrifice and putting knowledge above all else. His name literally means frenzied. But Odin was patient and waited until I was ready. Now he's my main god. He encouraged me to learn the runes and made sure I kept up with my studies. He made it abundantly clear that he is there to teach and I am there to listen. He gives me the building blocks to solve my problems but never just fixes something. And the one time I was mad at him for not wanting to help me in the way I expected he was pretty blunt in saying that responding to my temper tantrum will never teach me anything and forced me to figure that out myself.

I found this interesting, as someone who has been dedicated to Him for twenty years. Odin is the hardest god I've ever met. If I told you all the sacrifices He's asked of me, it would likely horrify you. I deal with other gods too but He's my fulltruí, or fully trusted one (a scary thought, given His reputation!)

I've never had a masculine deity/ energy present themselves to me before so this may be the change that is necessary in my path. I am grateful, excited, curious and a little nervous to be embarking this journey! But yeah, the signs/synchronicities have gotten so very clear these past 2 days. The final sign that had lead me here was having a vision of ravens near my altar and the empreor continually popping up for me in my daily tarot energy check in. I googled the deities most associated with crows/ravens and as I scrolled down, two names stood out to me based on leading events and this video confirmed it to be Odin. I also feel like he may have been trying to get my attention for sometime but because I hadn't been doing anything consciously, he stepped in and sparked influence on my day to day decisions/choices to get my attention. Well, message has been received! 🖤 Looking forward to working with you. Thank you for this informative video 🖤🖤

Especially when it comes to fine art, I love using charcoal and chalk pastels, and watercolor. I plan to get a desk just for doing art. He’s been telling me to try and do more art lately, but I’ve been hesitating to do it because I don’t have that much room. But he’s insisting that it’s okay because at least I tried.

I have followed your channel for quite some time and I hadent understod Odin was you main god. Not until now when he showed up in my own diety work.😊 Come to think of it He showed up the first time when I was 12 years old. Literally. I saw a person in hat moving through the woods across my home. It was od, because that time of day no one used to walk that way. And he showed between the trees and than disappeared again. The hat and cape was the weirdest part, because it was so far from normal 90ths clothes. The incidencent was so unusual I told my uncle about it. Who in turn raised his eyebrow and said I think you DO know who that was, if you think about. Maybe he was right 😉 In that case Odin might have been my guide all along... 😊

He popped in along with Freyja and I was just like?? what are you doing here we have nothing in common except maybe 1 aspect you are what I'm looking less for in deity work I've never felt called to you. And now I know he is probs the deity I relate to the most and I was just so dumb it's honestly endearing. He had to sit through me growing out of my dislike for masculinity and power. I think Odin wants to work with me, I am a teacher and it started with a feeling that I should have a raven as a part of my logo for the business i started which provides educational services. I always thought I would use another symbol, then I felt compelled to use the raven instead. Then I decided to buy this specific tarot deck that really called out to me that uses Norse iconography and I pull the King of Swords which is represented in this deck as Odin. I was writing a novella and this card inspired me to write a different story featuring Odin. Finally, I was on my way home from work recently and as it is nesting season for plovers and magpies they like to swoop and attack anything that comes near their nests. Well whilst this bird fighting was happening, there was a ravem just walking stately on the ground, completely unphased by the swooping, they eventually stopped because this Raven just continued its walk without even bothering to retaliate. So the plovers and magpies just flew to some branches overhead and watched him. There are different species of ravens and crows in Australia with species from the south distinguished from the north because they have white eyes with blue rings around the pupil (Corvus coronoides). I think American juvenile crows also have blue eyes but I can't remember now. Anyways, It is unusual to see this species of Australian raven so far north, and this raven caught my attention with its strange eyes and because it seemed so completely unphased by the female plovers and magpies. But I am new to witchcraft and have never used deities in practice, but this was the moment that really connected with me that maybe this is Odin trying to get my attention. I have just returned to Australia after spending many years travelling abroad so maybe this species is more common up north than I originally thought, so take all this with a grain of salt.

i definitely needed to watch this video cause it helped some things i experience while working with Odin, because i pretty much learn about him and gain knowledge on norse paganism and other things relating to my craft as an offering and i've been wanting to learn things that i have no interest in/don't understand at all but i don't have the motivation to but trying to get myself to learn that stuff for Odin? that is exactly what i needed to hear Also it was nice to confirm that he comes and goes often with other people also and that others feel he's a stern but loving father figure it's also good to know when it's time for me to start actually learning and using runes that i'll be guided and learn correctly cause one of the biggest things i fear in my craft is fucking things up and getting them wrong 😂😂

I was raised believing in Odin and a few others... But then my life changed with my father's illness. He had some severe mental health issues. He left the belief and converted to Christianity. He also practiced what I now know as chaotic Magicks. He started a cult that I ended up being in. I loved my father but he did terrible things to us. He preached that Lucifer would help us if we did certain things... I honestly continuously tried and tried to get Lucifer to link with me. I heard nothing...and at my lowest, Odin called me back home. It's been over a year now that I'm back home. It took a long time to heal from the trauma... It was if I was shrouded from the all father and once I let go he found me again.

I'm a Christian shaman, and Odin is one of my most beloved teachers. He revealed to me through a scrying session that one of my ancestors was a viking berserker and that I myself am Ulfhednar. His presence is like that of a somewhat stern but loving and wise grandfather. I asked him once why he likes working with me even though I'm Christian, and he said that he cares more my individual growth than what faith I practice.

I watched some of your videos and decided to listen to a guided meditation to find my deity. I was laying down with a pebble in my left hand and a coral in my right hand, both pointed to the ceiling and asked for a sign with those offerings. I intended that meditation mainly to Thor or Odin, but I wasn't closed to any other deities. And after a few minutes I started seeing a gray old pointy hat (kinda Gandalf like) and then I saw the face of an old man and a hole began to appear in one of his eyes, I asked aloud "Odin?!" and without controling my body conciously, my hands began to flip upside down. Then during the meditation I asked to see a raven in the city if he wanted us to work together and 2 days after, a raven flew past my right side in the middle of the city. I was shocked. Now I'm waiting to know what he wants me to do

after he first came to me at the age of nine, I went to my poor Baptist Sunday school teacher and asked her why the Bible didn't tell us why "god" only has one eye...Also, "Can you be more specific please?" is a question you'll quickly learn to ask VERY quickly. He loves to teach you directness the hard way.

Thank you for this video, even though I'm a bit late. I didn't reach out to him, because I effed up the last time with a deity from another pantheon and swore to myself to just never do deity work because it wasn't my cup of tea. My husband asked me for a viking themed pendant to replace his cross for his birthday, and the more I looked, I saw hammers, axes, knots but suddenly I thought 'No. I want a spear.' and throughout the search, I discovered that Odin owns a spear. A while after that, pretty suddenly and instensly, I got very interested in runes, then I felt like I had to read the Edda to understand what the runes mean, because something told me that there was more than I could just read up somewhere quickly. Then I did a Tarot reading and got hints. A lot of hints. Then I realized that I was surrounded by rowans. Then I remembered the two ravens sitting in the cherry trees behind my house day in and day out a long while ago. He is demanding with the amount of work he wants me to put in, like not to learn just the names but the cultural significance behind what they symbolize, each one, anthropological and archaeological literature research. What he also seems to be adamant in is that I vet my sources. If I start reading a book, I immediately get a strange feeling when there is anything shady going on with the contents. But he also made it clear that he doesn't see me as a devotee, as if he knew that giving me only ONE task (studying runes) will make me keep up the work, giving me more tasks at once would be a recipe for desaster. However, my cognitive capacity feels heightened. The wanderer and fatherly thing also makes so much sense to me. Even though I have to read and think a lot, the fact that he is not always around makes me able to breath and not feel under pressure, it feels like gentle rigor.

Odin is found in the Oera Linda Book, this was before he became a God. In the book he is called Wodin and he is a sea king which to the Fryans meant he was an admiral. The Book - Chronicles from Pre-Celtic Europe by Alewyn J Raubenheimer has a copy of the Oera Linda book in it and also explains the book and offers all the evidence to it's authenticity.

For almost two months now I haven't stopped having dreams that mention Odin and wolves specifically, and even before that, for many years, wolves were figures that appeared to me. I dreamed talking to Odin, I called him Wodan in the dream. In the dream I made an altar for him and offered him wine. And it's not the first time I've dreamed of giving him wine, I dreamed again that I stole my parents' wine to offer it to Odin lol, But I don't think I should do this WOSNWOSIWOSJ

The Viking Age was a specific era of Norse history. They were pillagers, yes, but they don't represent the entirety of the Norse/Germanic peoples. Odin's like the Christian God in that a lot of culture was destroyed during the spread of Christianity, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the religion or god itself is bad.

Thank you for the amazing video! I was commenting with my friends last week that he only appears from time to time. The last time I had any contact (besides this week) was, like, 6 months ago? Or more. Even though I love to have him around, it's a good thing that he's not around all the time, because his shadow work is the most powerful, and when he appears, I know that it's time to do it. Something very interesting, is that when his energy is present, my dogs get more... emotional? I don't know how to explain. Something changes; and I change too. I get extra lovely to them (if that's even possible haha). Oh, I have some questions, if you don't mind helping me
