Just discovered this story yesterday, extremely interesting. I imagined from the footage there would be wayyy more bullet holes in the robbers car, do you think this is just due to bad aim from distance? OR do you think it means much better aim from the cops as they where likely aiming for the windows for the bullets to travel through?

Those must have been the first units on scene because the car by the bank exit and the one they rolled up on him in to take him down were both Impalas. Crown Vic’s got ballistic door inserts thanks to this incident.

I’m from Australia I do plan on come to the U.S. on holidays when I do I’ll definitely check out this Museum I want to see all this amazing stuff in person I know pics and video don’t do it justice.

It's great that you're so interested in this event, but you should fact check yourself before you start misinforming all of your viewers haha. This shooting happened in 1997 not 1987. The most modern lineup of the Ford Crown Victoria, the police cruiser in the video, was made from 1992 to 2012. Cool video though!

They should have known that due to the body styling of not only the Ford Crown Victoria; but also the Chevy Caprice that was involved in the North Hollywood shootout. To be honest; the 1997 North Hollywood shootout was one of the worst shootouts for law enforcement agencies in the late twentieth century, along with the 1986 FBI shootout in Miami, Florida.
