Thanks Colin, it is a little hidden gem of the North Pennines, often overlooked but still visually stunning. Know this area is one of you and your brothers favourite haunts so I am really pleased it fetched back so many nice memories for you both. Yes I do wonder sometimes about the significance of the wellington boots, but it is the North Pennines...😉

I have just found your channel at the start of my next photography project and I have found a new passion for an area that is close to my heart I have recently finished a 16 year long project photographing the river tees from source to sea

Thank you for your comment, that's quite an endeavour from source to sea for the Tees, I hope it brings both yourself and others great satisfaction when they view your completed work. As you know most of the North East Rivers start in the North Pennines, lots more project potential there 😉

Possibly Standards is my favourite Teesdale hill with the spectacular Standards Shap a must visit. I have been wandering the North Pennines for years so is interesting to "see them" from another person's perspective: keep the videos coming.

Thanks, it is indeed a glorious view from the summit and surprisingly easy (if a little steep) to get to. Lunedale is a gorgeous place to visit and truly an undiscovered gem of a location 😊

Another great video showing the North Pennines in all its glory, thanks for including Arngill Force (surprised it hadn't dried up) and the Bink Moss trig point I agree with you fascinating, keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comments, despite the very dry weather every stream was running, nowhere looked dry and the sides of my boots were wet from walking through the heather, even in 26°C heat! It does show the amount of water the peat can store in those parts, amazing stuff

Love those wide open views Duncan. Typical North Pennines vista it would seem. So much space. Cheers.

Thanks, it was a lovely day and the views stretched for miles, plus only one person near the mine and I was totally alone for most of it, bliss!!

Hi Duncan, I love the North Pennines too and so loving your videos. But do you do route plans or should I simply find my own way about
@DuncanBaxter
@DuncanBaxter 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I do have route plans which I use with GPS etc but have never really found a way to share them yet, this channel is my only outlet of the North Pennines so I don't have a website I can host them on. I am trying to find ways of sharing my routes, but sometimes it is best in the North Pennines to simply chose a starting point and an end point and basically go your own way 😊
