It’s great how people are complaining about tones,guitars,and the vocals think about it this way and this is for the metal elitists too at least they can actually play this live instead of constant copy and paste over and over again like most bands at least they can play it these guys are a great band and actually have a distinct sound to them while most djent/metalcore is the typical at least this is a bit different here these guys will go places trust me

Right? Anytime I see a drummer singing (or screaming) I loose my fucking mind. I can't imagine even playing guitar and trying to sing let alone doing something different with your feet, hands and voice?! If you dig drummers singing, check out Hail The Sun, Post hardcore band, progressive for sure, not as heavy as The Nothern but the drummer is the lead singer, he sings, screams AND drums...Watching him do it live, was INSANE....Don't think he does double duty anymore, but he used too...(FFO: Dance Gavin Dance, Circa Survive and Eidola)

I don't doubt that he can perform these songs live but I'm saying that it's going to limit the melodies they can write for him. A lot of their choruses at the moment revolve around long drawn out notes, probably because its easier to maintain a single note while playing drums than to be singing a really fast-changing melody. No complaints from me just something to note!
