I'm down to the plant genus that grow well for me and the ones I like: Hoya, pothos, philodendrons, kane begonias, succulents.... With a few randos, but those grow well and make me happy!! Just stick to the plants that make you happy! Love your videos!!

Thank you so much!!!! That makes me happy! 😊🤗 Great advice! I’m giving some of my plants away next week that I don’t care for anymore. My favorite are Anthurium 😍💗💞 begonias and monstera. It’s almost painful to say that because I just love all plants. 😆

Yes I agree!! I have a bowl of Hoya propagations in water... It's then up to the plant to figure it out or not lol.... They usually figure it out and now I have a punch bowl of hoyas lol.

Hugs Sherry. Ebbs and flows. At the end of the day, you have to do what makes you happy and if that is letting go of a plant or plants or whatever, then so be it. I have reached a point lately where I throw away cutting when I prune rather than prop. I also move plants out that I am not happy with for whatever reason. I have had pests this year like no other too and that is taking a lot out of me as I have a lot of plants and a lot of them are really getting large. Seems like every time I turn around, I find a mealy or thrip on some random plant. It's super frustrating. I decided that I can only do my best and if after trying on a certain plant for so long, I will just cycle it out and move on. I do love the hobby, which makes the constant issues all the more disheartening. Hang in there and do what feels right and what brings you joy. I have been keeping plants for a long time but I love watching other people's videos as I learn from them all. ❤🙌🌿

Hugs back to you too. It’s just a shame we have to deal with the bugs on top of the fight to keep the root rot away and to “play Mother Nature” for our plants. You are absolutely right “we can only do our best and after trying for so long cycle it out and move on”. Excellent attitude because otherwise, it can really bring a person down. I love watching planty content and making it. I love hearing from you and everyone out there that have been doing this not only what you have and are going through, but just to build relationships with like minded people . Thank you for watching and supporting my channel! Have a marvelous day! 🥰

I did enjoy your video. Raising plants sometimes isn't all fun. When I feel like I'm getting burnout, I make sure everything is watered and don't do anything for plants for at least 2 weeks. I just look at them as I go by. 😊 and then I see new growth

Thank you Juanell!!!! I had a rough day that day. I have been trying to pace myself and am finding winter is a lot harder than I had thought managing these plants. Here’s hoping they make it. I like how you pace yourself. Very mindful!

I think I would put it in moss or stratum. Maybe even perlite

I think that cleaned up stem with a couple of roots is viable. A much smaller pot with aroid mix, avoiding moss, and once you cut the rot out, you won’t really even need the peroxide. Just needed better growing medium and appropriate sized pot. But I respect that it’s your plant and your journey.

Ya, lesson learned. I took what I did hear and adjusted potting up my newest plants as well as repotting my Anthurium Esmeralda on New Year’s Day. The good thing about going through the bad is that I grow as planty mom and become better. Sometimes it’s quite painful. Thanks for your support always appreciate hearing from you regardless if we agree or not. 🙂

I am finding that some plants just do better in leca or pon especially if they say "moist , not soggy."I haven't tried it yet, but plan to next year. I won't buy those anymore until I'm ready to try semi-hydro. Some plants just won't look pristine in soil especially when you are gone a lot. At least that's what I'm thinking.

Good luck with changing the substrate! I have had to many negative experiences with trying water or leca. My anthurium love my mix I just didn’t pay attention that time. 😩. Thanks for commenting love hearing about your experiences and what your plans are!

:( when I was watching you putting all the moss in there, I was kinda worried about that but I didn't say anything because I only have 3 baby anthuriums. What do I know? I'm not sure I would say that is all because of the size of the pot. I think the soil is not draining well enough.

I was like losing it when I rewatched that video. I learned a big lesson from this one plant. Some anthurium like it, but that one did not. I also had another I had to repot the other day because it was just to wet. I also think the plant I got wasn’t healthy. None of the leaves were well, but I really botched that one up.

@LeafyConversations I've rotted my share of plants. It just happens sometimes
