As though any of us regular people can build something like this now or in the future. Almost impossible with the landscape that is changing now. Really nothing to learn here that is useful for my own personal gain.

It's fascinating to learn about the work that goes into making content available to a global audience via localization.

I wonder how he’s going to deal with the recent ai evolution that’s happening now because this affects translation. I am a part time translator myself (I mention this cuz I know the difference of translating written and spoken translation) and I admire he built an empire around it but having used bing and chatgpt for a while now, I can definitely see this could be a potential threat to his business. The translations are still not perfect in context, but at least to my experience it’s around 80% right with chatgpt and all it needs is to proof read it and it’s good to go.

With the huge advancement of AI at lightning speed. Will big companies just develop and train their own subtitles services? People could potentially losing their jobs overnight right?

Your vision has to be realistic, shareable and understood by all the employees. Elon Musk: (Spacex) We're going to build reusable rockets so that humanity can go to Mars. (Tesla) We're going to make electric cars sexy.
