@KtotheG Жыл бұрын
@@neverhungryagain2187 Man, you skipped over the whole Golden Age... The Whodini style rappers was the late '70s to early '80s.. By the mid to late '80s, you had the Golden Age cats like LL, Rakim, KRS, Kane, G Rap, Slick Rick, etc, who took lyricism and the artform to new levels with sampling and conversational flows. Then in the early '90s, you had the gangsta rappers, pro-black rappers, and the high octane gruff voiced rappers like Onyx, Das Efx, Busta Rhymes, Native Tongues, etc. Biggie came out of that era. Then by the mid '90s, hip hop changed again with lyricism being stepped up even more and the underground emerging as a viable force.

when u hear it as a kid vs adult when u listen to the story . Time Machine . How far ahead of his time - all the slang etc - entire rap game is off his blueprint . & the story - surreal . The background noises make u feel ur in the joint - “ Ron laughing & sprinkler alarm system “ excellence 😮
