I wonder if devs can implement features that can effectively be used for more accurate reporting from the player's side. For example, a killcam or spectating other players are basically tools that can be used for that exact purpose. I wonder if a dev studio has ever considered expanding on that side of things.

Ghost, I noticed that you use Tactical Stance with your SMG and was wondering if you prefer your laser being on at all times? In Settings > Keyboard and Mouse > Controls and Combat > Tactical Device, you can assign a Key to turn off the laser when you're not in Tactical Stance and will only come on when you're in Tactical Stance. Turning off the laser keeps your from easily being tracked, but its always available when your in Tactical Stance. Also, you get the benefit of a laser whether its on or off.

In OCE I can believe it, every match in operations I play, if I die from someone sus half the time I report them I get the immediate response that action was taken against the player and my kit returnee to me. That's right 50% of the time there is a cheater. Asia is massive and many players use the delta Force client direct outside steam.

I have three Delta Accounts on Steam. I have been chat banned for one account a couple times. If I wanted to cheat I would already have two more accounts to move to. I play all three accounts and they are mature. Each one uses a different email address. I dont cheat as Im really only here for the challenging entertainment. Im just pointing out that cheats can easily move from one account to another.

a clear no. kernel level anticheat used to be the best thing against cheats. but with regard to the development that cheats have taken in the last 10 years, we see that kernel level anticheats or client base anticheats in general are less reliable. This is because the cheats/macors/etc are more based on running outside the main system. for example the cronos for controllers or the second PC cheats. these new cheats therefore mostly work outside the range of a client/kernel level anticheat and therefore have little qualitative use against modern cheats that means a new anticheat system needs to be implemented. and the best way to do this in my view would be a serverside anticheat with algorithmic evaluation.

Problem is almost everything in games runs client side. Very little processing is done server side related to player actions because the latency would be atrocious. Everyone thinks they have the answers, but nobody else is picking learning code to solve it. - just a local friendly dev

Huge forced offline number could mean from false positives or cheat probing, which would result in the player just reconnect not even realising, it also can be related to the fact that it have his own launcher independent of steam, and may where chinese or anywhere else that don't use steam.

Every other game now I’m running into some Chinese letters username dropping 60 bombs on my team. I think the bigger problem is matchmaking because hackers or no hackers, I’m at the top of the leaderboard getting kills, going positive, and most heals and revives for the team yet the rest of my team is playing with a Logitech wheel or something. This games sbmm is reaallyyyy starting to get reminiscent to CoD.

You forgot to add you can get all gold medals and still loose 20 merit with a win. This game is so biased to people buying skins and season 1 general tags. These 2 are always 80 plus kills a game and unkillable 1v4 lol

That was the best thing about 2042. Player base was low from the start and that kept the cheats to an all time low for a BF game. Played a few games of DF and it instantly felt suss for close to half my deaths.

Quick skill issue check. Delta force uses an ac called ace. Ace is even better and more invasive than valorant ac vgk. The only way you can cheat on delta force is with dma and some damm good fw hidding it. I would day that there is less than 300 total cheaters on delta force globally who cheat and dont get banned in less than a week

That idea is the equivalent of cod's shadowbanning lobbies although I do have an idea (which might be a hilarious way to handle and ruin a cheater's experience) how about if the anti cheat Starts messing around with the cheater's controls in real time begins inverting the cheater's controls, messing with their ping and their in game mechanics, reducing the damage of their weapons and their health, making them move slower than anyone else or even messing around with their in game progress I can only imagine the cheater's reaction that one minute they're ruining everyone's experience then the next minute their controls are messed up, they somehow have less health than everyone else even though it doesn't look like it, they're moving slower than everyone else despite their ping being great and they lose all their in game progress really frustrating and hilariously messing around with the Cheater enough to make them rage

Kernel level isn't the answer. There are still games with kernel level anticheat that are being exploited. It just makes it less of a problem for a time. The better solution, one which will address more of the community without excluding Linux as a platform, is better player reporting tools like killer view kill cams, silent punishment where accused individuals are shunted into different tiers of game until they're in exclusively cheater populated lobbies, and greater server side authority so the game itself will ensure everything is in the up and up by observing a subset of players with greater scrutiny for a few minutes as they accomplish their feats. All of this supercedes anticheat, because it involves factors which the cheater has no influence over as the central mechanic: Other players, and the server itself.

Players forced offline has nothing to do with cheating. It's false positives for the most part. The only relevant numbers are confirmed cheaters (the first 3 stats).

Imagine a hacker spending thousands on VMWare ESXi licensing just to run multiple vms so they can cheat in this game. Pathetic. Something doesnt add up. There is ways to do it, but must be built into the the games code. Valorant comes to mind, their anti cheat is baked into the games code. It knows what is possible in game and catches player by doing things the game itself knows cant happen. It knows what players can see and cant, how fast they are moving and so on.

12:09 wrong. That is what ban wave system is meant to do. It clearly does not work. You are giving cheaters more time to use the cheats and cheat devs spend less time updating their code. Think of this way. If I was to fine you for speeding every 6 months. You would see it as 6 months worth of fast driving for 1 fine. If I was to put you on the sectioned off roads with the rest of the speeders I would have to spend resources to provide those roads. Both are not a big enough deterrent. Now if I was to fine you /ban you every time I catch you. Speeding /cheating will be a lot more costly for you and a less likely to occur. .
