A thermometer will only MEASURE the temperature, not CONTROL it. And on some ovens, it's hard to control the temperature even if you know what it is. The temperature will continue to rise even on a medium setting. So this NuWave PIC seems pretty practical and efficient for that reason alone. People just need to be careful about where & who they buy it from...

I like my steak medium rear and I was not able to do so in my gas range. This induction cooktop was able to make a beautiful medium rare stake because the correct temperature. Never I would use my gas range for my steaks

It's $170 for the two cooktops AFTER shipping and PROCESSING. People conveniently forget what S&P stands for. Processing of your order is just as pricey as shipping the product too. By the way did you know they ship through FED EX, UPS and 2 other shipping companies too? A lot of product means they need a lot of trucks, too much for one shipping company. So the cost for one cooking package is $69.95 S&P big woop, Bed bath and beyond sells the same package for $300. Not induction ready mind you

I know that when you put your hand in the cooktops it's not hot.thats why when the pan is in half,half of the cooktops is hot and hal of it is not hot that's why it's cool and I want it

and lets not forget the real reason we have the show "worst cooks in america" cause no matter how good they try to cook their food, they dont know the technique that can improve and at times some cooks just burn the food any damn cause they dont know how to do something. may i remind people that even professionals burn their food or mess up a dish even with all the right skills so its like this is just a product that seems like an illusion to say you can cook anything easy

I bought online and without my knowledge they want to charge me $29.95 x 3 = $89.85 for the ridiculous cost of all shipping, I thought one $29.95 only. As of now after I paid $144.94 I received only One-Cooktop and I need to call them to pay more $29.95 x 2 = $59.90 for cost of S&H in order to get the other items. I am disappointed and pissed-off!
