Five Iron Frenzy! I actually got my name in one of the FIF cds you had to sign a card when you went to one of their concerts and they put your name in the next album under the thank yous Ive seen oc in like 3 festivals and several concerts I also wrote these guys when I was like 13 and they sent me some personal pics and autographs and a handwritten letter! Too dope! And even though Im atheist now these guys got me through some rough days in my life still say thank you for their wonderful work!

this hits hard. I'm a Christian and a music obsessed person, a lot of edgy secular music, punk and stuff like that. I've always struggled to find a lot of Christian music that scratched that itch too effectively, because I often find that either they're just appropriating a style that they don't actually have an affinity for, or they have cut and paste lyrics. I acknowledge that a lot of this "criticism" can just be from my own prideful spirit, but it is how I have often felt. The Supertones are clearly 0% guilty of either charge, and I have recognized that since the 90s. They are just great. Anyway, I just completed a 40 day fast from a couple of strongholds in my life- from stuff that is allowable, that I have freedom in, but I just allowed it to be idols in my life, and now I feel very different. I see music as a gift that can help me in my relationship with God, and I just really don't want to listen to anything right now that has any potential to draw me away from Him at all - I didn't know this particular song and it's wonderful.

have you checked out Five IronFrezy? more of a pop-punk ska style with a bit more goofyness, but still fun and they used to tour with Supertones (20 years ago)

Today I was reminiscing about my daughter and going to so many concerts and that one of the best ones was at Kings Island in Ohio and we had a three day pass and we got to see a lot of her favorite bands & one of them was Five Iron Frenzy, that’s her favorite band! Then after I text my daughter to “see if everyone was still healthy & well” I told her how much I missed them. Then I told her that I had been thinking of her and all the fun we had at the concerts at KingsIsland & today I cranked the stereo on to some ska music & 5 Iron! When she got home from work she found her daughter in a five iron frenzy T-shirt “fighting unicorns with glitter” and text me “mom your not going to believe this, then I got a picture of my grand - daughter wearing the T-Shirt. “SHE WAS READY TO ROCK! I just thought that was awesome that we were all thinking the same thing! I have wide and very extensive variety of different types and genres of music, so depending on the day and what I feel like listening to, that’s where I go. wherever God leads me, that’s how I listen/choose the music!!! So if you’re tuning in to listen to my music and you don’t like it, tune it out! But don’t be a bully “they don’t exist in HEAVEN!”! But by all means find something positive about your day! When my children were young we would have prayer before they went into school then when I pick them up from school I would ask them how was your day and what new thing did you learn. I Taught my children to always look for a positive within the negative, because something good will come out of it, in the long run! Just a little food for thought! Besides that my granddaughter thinks her Grammy is the bomb!
