i cant believe this video popped out on my reccomended and gave me a title of the game ive been thinking about for years but couldnt remember anything about it except that it was point and click and the general terrifying aesthetic. antumbra has stuck with me since ive first watched someone play it on yt and im so glad i found it again !!! its such an interesting one, definetly one of my faves when it comes to weird surreal games, tysm for this video !!!

Just went back and watched antumbra and apparently there was supposed to be a second game in the series, called chant of ash. It was supposed to have returning characters, new ones, more lore and voice acting. There's videos on KZbin about the pre alpha build 8 years ago around the same time Markiplier did his video on the first game, however I haven't found ANYTHING else about the game past pre alpha, would LOVE to see a deeper dive about the game

ALSO, thanks for finally sharing the music you use in the vid, cause you know how vaporwave is with naming. Either way, you know how you watch someone and you think to yourself that you found the right person to cover the subject? That's the feeling I got from watching this iceberg. It sounds like a cymbol crash, but if you pronounce it like just a 'z' you'll be close enough, "Zee-Zoom." 19:48 It's quite surprising seeing Surrealidade in the list, guiven it's a quite obscure one even in Brazil. don't know if anyone mentioned, but the original game it's from 1999. The game was his thesis work for College, that later got published and distributed with the help of some game magazines. Like the name sugest it's based in surrealist works of several artists, kinda teach you a little about the surrealism movent along the way... The 2022 version it's the definitive edition the creator developed after the game regain some reconiction thanks to a couple brazilian youtubers rediscovering it

Congrats on finishing this huge iceberg, Kappa. I don't mean to be rude, I love your vids. But you could've probably went in deeper into some of the games. I know it's just burnout after working on this series for ages but still. Like, at the start you went in deep and covered a lot of aspects, but you stopped playing them and just gave a half assed overview based on pictures. Your voice certainly didn't help to make the video more interesting. Not hating on it, just letting you know for future videos. I might still be pissed about how you didn't give some of the good games on the iceberg the time of day. There's a lot of them that are big rabbitholes, not just "le random surreal". Also, if you need to make RPG maker games run for a future vid, you have to download their corresponding RTP (Run time package). Each version has one, and it will let you run all of them no problem. The more modern RPG maker games don't need this, so maybe that's why you couldn't get some of them to work... Also, some may only be playable using a Japanese locale emulator. Cheers and looking forward to your next vid!

Sadly, Frog Days is likely vaporware. Swordofkings isn't working on it anymore. On a positive note, he would go on to create part of the soundtrack for Hypnospace Outlaw, a game that was possibly influenced by Frog Days.
