He also goes through so much character development whether good or bad, which I enjoy as a writer. I understand why other people dislike him, though.

I couldn't stand Andy in the beginning. It was when he came back from anger management that he became a lot more tolerable. I think the writers of the show had to do some changes to his character to make him more lovable. He eventually became my favorite. He was kinda dumb, braggy but clearly had the heart in the right place. Desperately wants to be loved and annoys people in the process but means well. Eventually Gabe became my favorite character, but when Gabe left, Andy had gone back to being a complete douchebag again...
