I thought it would be cute to use for the video since I had it lying around, but you are absolutely correct about this. It was a pain to cut with and I wouldn't use it again.

First time here. That was cool and I appreciate the little bits of advice you give and the attempt to get as much of the ingredients local as possible. Really suits the Stardew Valley vibe, not to mention the food turned out great! Good job, you!

Parsnips are tasty. They feature in the medieval banquet's soup at Bunratty Castle. I wish I could get the recipe for that.

Parsnips are like sweet carrots, and I love carrots and sweet treats. Definitely recommend!

I get that lightly dried parsley often and it’s usually quite good. Buying fresh is preferable but I can never finish it before it goes bad. The lightly dried stuff always gets used up.

I think always having happy little accidents in cooking & mixing things up is what makes it so fun. Your sensory descriptions of the foods like the smell of parsnip tickled my brain, and appetite! XD so happy seems like you had a lot of fun. -amethyst

Did you roast the salad?
@NeatMcKinley6 ай бұрын
I misread the recipe and thought I was supposed to mix the seasoned arugla with the parnsips while they were still roasting. According to the image in the cookbook and after re-reading that segment, it appears the parnsips get roasted first, then the arugla gets mixed in after. You live, you learn!

I love this, it turned out so beautiful and delicious looking, and that’s from someone who doesn’t like omelette! Although I feel obligated to suggest that you take your knives somewhere to be sharpened, or learn to sharpen them yourself. Even if you don’t necessarily use them very often, dull knives are extremely dangerous and could seriously harm you if you aren’t careful! Get em sharpened once and you should be good for awhile, in my experience! You seem like a delightful guy and I would hate for you to injure yourself making this lovely food!

Thank you for the kind words! Looking forward to upgrading my cooking equipment from the measly old utensils I have scattered throughout my kitchen.
@zaqn3576 ай бұрын
👁️👁️ the way you seasoned the egg with the spices is a lil atrocious👁️👁️ that’s a negative flavour bomb with every bite. I highly recommend sprinkling the seasoning from a high distance and ideally your hands instead of a heaping teaspoon being shaken too closely to the food. It’ll ensure a large range and roughly even dispersion of spices that won’t be a flavour rollercoaster

Hah, my eyebrows shot up when I saw that. That plus the absolutely spotless baking sheet made me really believe he hasn't cooked in a long time like he said.
