Like I know plenty of people who just say "Dragonball" or even "DBZ" when they are actually referring to the entire franchise I could see the same happening for Naruto as well with people blindly saying "naruto" instead of specifying. cuz i mean, i realize the anime called both these shows different things, but its all the exact same narrative. its not a sequel, its literally the next episode I feel similarly for code geass. i think many probably just said code geass as whole without specifying the season. I certainly don't separate them in my mind. There should have been a "franchise bundler" so long as it still clearly has the same characters and story and all that. Not sure how it would work for HXH and Berserk and the like which are reboots, but those should be fixed as well I think just to completely avoid confusion but not bundle them like with the above ones, but hard specify which version. As far as i'm cornered, there are several blank spots on this list because what is the exact same show really but with different names/seasons. I don't feel like counting so I'm just generalizing and saying this is more like a top 90 than a top 100 because of that =/

I don't think anything from 2017-now can challenge top 3 tbh. If anything I would say the show that has gotten the strongest boost in that period is Boku No Hero, making it even HARDER to challenge the top 3. Demon Slayer would probably be top 10, but if Death Note couldn't beat Your Name, I don't give Demon Slayer any chance to do it and crack the top 3. Jojo would certainly get a boost, but not to top 3 levels from the 20s. I think the best time to do a new list would actually be after Attack on Titan and Boku No Hero finish, so they can be properly viewed against FMA:B (and JoJo's strongest part - part 7 will probably be out by then too).

@@braydenseier1483 characters are unlikeable (except for inosuke), zenitsu is loud and annoying, not in the good way. Tanjiro is not well written at all. He’s a perfect, flawless character, a male “Mary Sue.” He’s the equivalent to Rey from Star Wars. The only thing unique about his character is that his family was killed (nvm, that’s not unique at all. Almost every anime protagonist’s family has been killed.) Plot is so generic and predictable. The only thing different about each fight is that he fights a different kind of demon (ooh, one demon can switch gravity! Another demon can make you fall asleep!) even though each demon is different, the fight goes exactly the same. Tanjiro struggles, he’s about to lose, then he ends up winning in the end. However, the fights are still good. Even though they’re predictable, the animation makes them worth watching. What’s not worth watching, is the episodes that don’t have fighting. All that happens outside of combat is the characters interact with each other, and the dialogue is not good at all which makes all of their conversations so boring. The only entertaining character interactions are the parts with Nezuko, for being so cute. Everyone else is so boring. It’s like robots talking to each other (maybe in Japanese the dialogue is better, and the translators did a bad job. But that’s the fault of the translators). I could shit on this anime all day, but at the end of the day, episode 19 was live.

It's not "better", it's more famous and, therefore, popular. Just imagine how many people who have watched sao didn't watch Mob Psycho. For that reason I personally prefer myanimelist ranking system, where Mob Psycho ranks #94 with just 206,255 voters, and SAO ranks #1067 with 796,537 voters. I did some calculations and if you count all the votes for hunterxhunter 1999 version as mistakes and put them together with the hxh 2011 votes it would make 12,974 votes total, which would put it on number 5th in the list ( much like my anime list) and even if we take a conservative estimate and say that only half the votes for the 1999 version were meant for the 2011 version, that would STILL make 9,243 votes for the 2011 ver which would put it on number 8th in the list. You know FMAB is by no means perfect, it certainly has it's fair amount of flaws. But every single time it is hyped up as the best anime of all time, I really can't complain haha like I wouldn't argue it. Honestly it makes me feel proud, being FMAB was one of the first series I ever watched so it has strong nostalgic and sentimental value that I just go along with it haha

@@aniketsingh8450 Biggest flaw for me is the early pacing, since they assume you've watched '03. The first few episodes of '03 are far better than the first few of Brotherhood. Brotherhood's a 9/10 for me.
