A little life-story who nobody asked for, but I just feel like saying this. When I was a kid... about 8-10 or so years, my mom bought me this album, hoping to help us connect through music, since she always liked rock and punk and whatnot. I instantly fell in love with this track in particular, despite not knowing much about what they were even singing about. But it has to be one of the most influential songs in my life. These days, I'm still into rock, but also to metal, even to a degree of heaviness that is too much even for mom :D But regardless, I do think this just might be the song that is the greatest contributor to the direction which my taste of music went to, and as such it holds a precious place in my memories. The way my tastes evolved might have brought me a ton of new favourite songs and artists, but this remains one of the most important. Thank you!

@anomie nous Nope. Even if it is a generational thing you can't compare the freedom people had in the 80s...especially as a kid or teen. Almost everything was deregulated or had no regulation..yet, nobody gave a shit what you did as long as you didn't hurt someone...physically not their feelings. 90s were ok but government started sticking their nose in and ruining shit. Then 9-11 happened and everything changed for the worst.

This was the beginning of the end for Offspring. They just became campy punk rock band for high school kids. Their early stuff is amazing. The black album which was originally recorded in the eighties but came out in 1995is the shit. Up to and including Smash top tier Cali punk band. Americana was their last truly great album and it was insane. All killer no filler. My opinion, anyway.

At 23 years of age after hearing this song dozens of times, I've today finally watched the film clip to learn that Redman is in the song and also sings a part if i'm not mistaken? I'm pretty surprised.

I have been an Offspring’s fan since the beginning of the 90’s. At that time I remember be in my car driving to the office; listening Offspring so loud… Life was easier at that time; no Smartphone’s, no social media, no millennial guys complaining about everything, no Covid-19 and the most important thing according to me, you could make jokes about everything or anyone without feel guilty…

Still have all their albums and I was listening them every single day for years , was proud to own them and let all my friends know about them more than 25 years ago...internet at that time was a dream so there was not chance to get lyrics (when missing with the album covers) and translations... I never studied English at school so I had not idea about all the truths they were saying in their songs....decades later I learned a bit of English and I regret how I could miss all that...they could have helped a lot.
