I bought a pair of swedes after using fancy goggles for years and I haven’t gone back. I started of with Arena Swedix, but I’ve tried heaps of other brands: just got a pair of MP Chronos, got a few pairs of Engine Psychos On special request after they discontinued them. The customisation is the best part; some of my racing goggles have looked EPIC. I’ve tried everything except the original Malmsten pair, so thanks for the video, I’m going to give them a shot!

Did you see that Michael Phelps came out with his brand? Can't wait to hear your thoughts on his race suits and goggles. The swedish goggles are the OGs and an all time fave. I used nothing but them during my competitive career and just now tried the Speedo Vangisher for training. I had the same light blue Swedish goggles for most of middle school, all of high school and into college. Pretty sure i still have them. The strap is awful but i still made it last til at least college by knotting it back together lol. My Vangishers last may be a year (nose bridge breaks, scratched up beyond visibility, molding or whatever happens to silicone when it degrades).

Great video!! I think the swedish goggles are a very classic and versatile goggles. My favourite goggles are the new arena cobra swipe (no the cobra ultra) or the tyr tracer x elite. Keep it up man, cheers from Spain!!

After watching this I am literally about to go and buy myself a pair - I'm 100% a fan of cheaper goggles which last because the goggles I swear by are the Arena Tracks. My only skepticism for Swedish goggles is do they leak? I have a weird face shape so its hard to find a good pair of goggles which is why I never ever switch but I'm looking forward to try these out on my next (open water) swim (#openourpools).

My experience, the secret for swedes not to leak is really fine adjust and take a bit time on the right nose bridge length.

been about 21 years since I swam and think from age 7 to 24 I have always used swedish goggles. (think they were speedos but they used the malmsten glasses anyways and only customized the nose rubber and the headbands right?) Recently started swimming again (though no longer for a club but just when the pool has fast lanes available for recreative swimmers) still love the swedish goggles, though i forgot they fogged up that much. Luckily my stamina is still shite so i can rinse them out every 2 laps when i need a 5 to 10 sec brake until i can do min of 6 to 8 laps full out again 😂 can't really pace 70%, 80%, 90% yet as I used to (am just as knackered with 70 as with 90 so why not just swing it until i get my stamina back a bit right? I have purchased arena anti-fog in any case. tnx for the vid, hearing the swapping out the glasses brings back fond memories as well 😁🤙

Same here mate, but I found out that my problem was with the nose bridge - I tied it closer together and problem solved. Speedo speedsockets 2.0 aka the Caeleb Dressel goggles are really amazing, I have the pink pair, I train with them daily

Three quid for goggles? What . a bargain. I was a swimmer in late sixties and early seventies. I was the first swimmer to wear racing goggles in 1970. The Euro rep for Speedo gave me some to try and introduce to top swimmers. Disaster. I wore them first time in Southern Counties relay free team. Going first , getting the lads a lead, they slipped over me mouth and I swam whole 100 at Crystal palace with a mouthfull of water and goggles lodged in my mouth. Coach was not impressed. Ditched them for good and did not recommend to anyone. Good for training though as the chlorine in pools was a killer on the eyes. Go to Goggs now are Speedo but they fit.
