For a group this large to sound so good while moving in such a synchronized fashion is truly remarkable. The audience sometimes watches these shows without fully realizing the high degree of planning, practice and discipline that's required. Kudos to the band members and their directors.

***** There always has to be a "best" at something to set the standard which others can try to achieve. Keep playing and marching, and you'll keep getting better & better. Above all, enjoy yourself and your accomplishment. Good luck!

***** What my marching band did to get better was that we started a rivalry with our football team. For example, I think all school bands do band camp. Just in case, my entire July was 5 hours of practice in the morning, a 2 hour break, then another 4 hour practice in the afternoon. During that 5 hour morning session, the football team shows up after we do. They do a 2-3 hour practice and are gone before we even started. This and other things that make us seem better than the great football jocks to act as motivation.

LiveatAurburnstudios Great idea and good motivation for both organizations, so long as it's just friendly competition and doesn't turn mean. Practice definitely pays off.

Dale Clemons...Saw your post from three months ago about the Buckeyes never having any competition and that is why they beat the "little guys." I sincerely hope you were able to watch the little game I watched tonite, Dale. They came up against Oregon and their Heisman trophy winner. I believe that makes their quarterback the best man on the field. But, guess what Dale. The Buckeyes won and are now the National Champions. They are the first team to be declared the best in the country. The first team ever, Dale. How about that??? It surely makes a fan proud. The Buckeyes are the best and now all of America knows it. God bless the Buckeyes!!!

I went on the WWII Study Abroad Trip this past May, and stood on the beaches of Normandy where D-Day took place. Seeing this not only makes me proud to be a Buckeye, but also makes me so grateful and proud to have gone on the trip and to have had the opportunity to learn so much from my forebears, who sacrificed so much for my freedom. Go Bucks!

Too bad the NFL does not return to the old days when bands like this were selected and given the privilege to perform at the Super Bowl. The trash performers of the most recent years cannot hold a candle to the talent shown herein.

Same here in England, the supposed a-list celebrities cannot hold a torch youngsters with copious amounts of musical talent.
@rhaggins767210 жыл бұрын
who cares, the NFL is entertaining enough that they can go without the halftime sideshows, college needs something to distract you away from such piss poor games because the NCAA allows teams to play cupcakes for 50% of the season
@charliegriffey777310 жыл бұрын
Yea, Beyonce and Madonna should step aside for more family friendly things, like this. If the Super Bowl used the OSU marching band every year for the next ten years, there would be few people that would complain.
@jeromeandheatherbrundage656210 жыл бұрын
***** it really is a shame that our society has you so brainwashed that you actually consider the NFL to be entertainment. The NFL, as with most pro sports, is filled with waaay overpaid crybabies who suffer from severe self centered egotism. There is no such thing as team loyalty anymore as proven by the constant shifting of players from team to team for the bigger bucks. These guys make millions of dollars a year and the cost is passed on down to you, the guy who continues to support them. Do you really think that ANY NFL player even knows or cares that you live, breathe or even exist? As long as you pay $100+ for their jersey, that's all that's expected from you. And tell me, if YOUR team wins, what did you actually have to do with the win and how big is the check they send you for your support? The answer to both is NONE! Sure, sports are entertaining to certain degree, but it's awful hard to root for people who are going through life totally unconcerned about anyone but themselves. It's even harder to watch grown adults center their entire lives around a sports franchise to the point where the forfeit their own individuality and negate precious time which could be spent with their family actually doing something.

***** what does "Don't come sideways at me …" mean? Is that normal English or an inner-city dialect? Do you always dress up in a Walmart football uniform and watch NFL games … alone? Is that a selfie with the faux uniform shirt supposedly of an idol of yours? I'm impressed.

@princessakhana10 жыл бұрын
Yes, the black uniforms are the current marching band members, and the red shirts are the marching band alumni. I actually have a whole family of cousins who all went to OSU and were all in the band, and they were all there that day! Two trumpet players, a snare drummer, a bass drummer, and a tubist! :)
