There is something about light. For me it is a connection to Creator - one who made light is the Light from which all light comes. A life source. A way of being that is grounded from a place of faith in God. I know that's not where everybody is, but it is what gives depth and meaning for my own being and living. Thank you for sharing the little moments with a beautiful little spider. I did enjoy those images.

Sunlight travels to Earth for about 8 minutes. Proportions are so amazing. A tiny spider and the galaxy around it. We can only wonder what else is there and appreciate what we have here.

When I think of the light I think of the idea that we are all made from the stuff of stars. I love the term that photography is painting with light. We all chase the light and sometimes sit for hours waiting for the light to be in the right spot. Birds start their dawn chorus as they sense the coming of the light.

Very interesting and accomplished images of the spider, my favourite is the square crop backlit showing an allmost translucent spider!😀

Kim, this was wonderful! Thank you for just talking to us and sharing your thoughts and perspective. Speaking for myself, it is becoming boring watching the videos of the walking away from the camera etc. I much prefer the connection of you talking as you walk and sharing. The spider portion was so awesome. It reminds me of myself and how I can find an element and spend quality time just taking the time to be not only aware but actually in the moment as you were with the spider. To connect with someone, when I am here in Oklahoma US, like yourself is the gift of YT. Thank you.

I share your delight in he light through the leaves and trees. I just get caught up in gazing at it on my walks, not always photographing it, but always filling my memory with it, which comes out later in my poetry. I probably seem eccentric at times as I just look in wonder!

Love this video! It reminds me of why I love to get out into nature and simply enjoy what ever shows itself in an inspiring moment. Between you and Courtney, my inspiration into nature photography has blossomed. I upgraded from a D3S to the new Z8 and love the new features that help in making it easier to catch images , especially in Macro Photography. Keep the videos coming!

Welcome back, "Old Kim". Although: you don't look that old, I have to say 😉 You got some really great images with that harsh light. I made a video on my channel about how to succeed with harsh light, but it seems I would have to add Kim's intimate photography with spiders in the backlight 😊 Really nice, I like your photos! Nice greetings, Christian

Thanks for returning to your roots, so to speak. I was first attracted to how you were always on a discovery walk, no matter where you found yourself. I really hope you can do those walks at least, once in a while. So many photographic youtubers tend to get "better" at what they do and leave their beginnings behind. Thank you very much, Kim.
