the old man hooked a fish too big for him to handle he cant load it in his skiff. hemingway allowed the old man to make a mistake of harpooning the fish so that it bled attracting sharks. writers treat their characters bad so that they look good to the readers and critics. writers dont allow their characters to succeed or their story wouldnt be a failure. new subs from the philippines.
