I agree with mostly all you've said except the fire part. The fire has always been there .It took certain circumstances to have turned into the blaze, we have today.Life in general,the scarcity of parts, and the price of the parts , slowed everything to a crawl. I'm 65 ,when I hot my license all of the old cars and hotrods disappeared. There was no car scene where I lived. Then life got in my way.At 60, I was watching the local hot rod scene. Only very few traditional rods were popping up here and there. I wasn't going to miss it this time around.Collected enough parts to put together my 30-31roadster on 32 rails
