Another pro that I think will have an insane glow-up is stingray. He has won 1 1s tournament, yes but he has the best mentality of any player I know and you can see that in he's streams. Stingray is haunted by some brackets and he has some PC problems and they prevent him from really showing his true potential but if all goes well I think he will eventually overthrow luna as the 1s person to beat.
@Vondakay2 жыл бұрын
Hey, winning one tournament alone is impressive and he gets good placements all around when he's feeling it. I like his charector picks and he uses signatures more than any pro which is exciting. Luna is pretty good at reacting and picking up on tendencies which would keep him ahead of Stingray. Stingray has really good movement and potentially could catch up.

Everybody's been talking about Godly, Luna, Snowy and I even saw another reply speaking about Stingray, but can we also talk a bit about Megd, he's been absolutely phenomenal these past few tourneys. 3rd at Springs and 2nd at MSI, that is no small feat for a player who isn't known for his consistent top 8 placements and I know that people don't exactly like his "passive" playstyle, but firstly I don't really see it as "passive" and even if he does play passively, it still takes skill to play like that against the best of the best, also his sword on Val can be so hype to watch sometimes, especially those times when he's managed to hit gc dlight near the top of the stage.
@Vondakay2 жыл бұрын
He really tried to Sneaky Snowy in there... Just joking MegD will have a rough time gaining some fan traction due to people mentioning his playstyle but anyone who places this well consistently has to be recognized. One of the Castors can't remember exactly who but they said he should play how he wants just because its for lots of money. Sword is hype to watch too no doubt.

At this point in time, Luna would beat Sandstorm. If Sandy comes back for BCX with a lot of practice, he's gonna clap Luna. It's really all down to Sandy's amount of practice and mindset. He was playing safe and precise at MSI due to the lack of practice, but when he played Kor against Cosolix, it was different. He only practiced Mordex after finishing in 2v2s the day before the 1v1 portion and still went kinda crazy. He disengaged in game 5 against Macheeeete and messed up a confirmed gimp because he felt unsure of himself. Luna on the other hand always puts time into the game and is usually confident in his ability to beat anyone. Kinda egothystical, but that's what it takes to be the champ. I'm curious to see who he plays in summers after the nerfs. Looking forward to seeing these two go head-to-head again, hopefully in grands of BCX 😎
@Vondakay2 жыл бұрын
Saying Sandy like you know the guy or somethin haha! yeah his pick to play mordex seemed rushed as only a week or two before he had no clue who to play. Not completely related to the video, but why is so much emphasis placed on amounts earned, as some form of validation? Aren't there some players who earn more than others simply because they enter more often and aren't necessarily 'better'? Eg. If you enter a ton of tournaments and earn a ton, but then another player only enters 1 or 2, and naturally doesn't earn as much. I'm quite ignorant to some parts of esports, just seeking clarity.
@Vondakay2 жыл бұрын
So the emphasis of earnings acts as a translation of skill. In order to accumulate over $200,000 in the span of 3 years you would need to be consistently winning tournaments. (They didn't always use to pay this good) I'll mention it again. SS has had a longer time to play with a more dominate run time. However, Luna is playing during a much more competitive time for Brawlhalla. Not everyone gets earnings. Luna won 15k for placing first at MSI his biggest payout yet. Thats first place, in the world. Some people do make a significant amount from entering a lot of tournies you are right on that! but in order to make a grand amount of even over $100,000 you would have to be phenomenal
@tsunamis17952 жыл бұрын
I mean all the top pro's enter the majors where you have the chance to make the most money. To earn money its normally placing top 8 to get some type of earnings (for brawlhalla at least), so for you to even earn a ton you would need to get several high placemnets in the tourneys. Pros know that the fewer tournaments you enter the worse off it'll be for you because you're not getting a chance to compete at the highest level and earn money, but also at the same time tournaments are a way to practice as well and playing against the best in a stressful environment when both are trying as hard as they can helps both parties improve. I can't think of a single instance of a pro that's better than someone who consistently gets top 8 but doesn't play in tourneys (that's largely not a thing in brawlhalla). Brawlhalla at the top level is skill, knowledge of the game, mental and adapting. I think it's more so who takes advantage of their opponents weakness the best and adapts to what their opponent is doing the best that wins, so it's kind of hard sometimes to say who's really better unless one person just outright consistently beats the other person more. One person can get stomped out in a set and run into the same person later on in the tournament and have a much closer set or even beat that person because they figured out what they were doing wrong and adapted. I also think that in some instances talking about a players earnings also speaks to how much experience he has as well.
