I stayed there when I was 13 and, I promise on everything sacred to me, I saw the ghost there on the second floor. It was one of the scariest things I've ever seen. it was this see through angry nurse lady and she started walking towards me fast. Pointing her finger at me and I could tell she was yelling "get out" but I could not hear her. I ran down the stairs and I felt she was behind me all the way down. I thought she was going to push me down and kill me. I'll never forget that. I'll never go in there again, never.

I stayed there in the early 80's when I was a school girl. We went there on a school camp

pixiepqueen I think most Western Australian children of the 70’s and 80’s had some kind of experience with this place! Creepy, I’m glad you got out alive and I’m glad I didn’t “see” anything like that. Thanks for sharing your experience 😊

it was the worst camp I ever went on. I wanted to leave as soon as I got there. Nobody told me it was "haunted" I just felt scared of the place when I got there. I didn't feel welcoming. There were no birds there or anything and it was quiet and eerie. There were smells of dead animals or something wafting on the breeze often. It was a creepy place. I slept in the annex not in the main building. I was scared out there though too. I was scared the nurse lady I saw when I went up stairs on my own for a look would find me etc in the annex. I didn't want to go into the main building again after I saw the ghost. I had to though to get meals. I didn't go in that main building alone again.

I have only been to York once. My Son's Grandfather is buried there. I went to York for the Funeral. I wish i had of known about this Hospital 7yrs ago as i definitely would have stopped in for a look. Next time i head to York i will call in :-) i love this kind of stuff. Tasmania is also great for these things also. Heritage, background, History, very old buildings, Ghost haunting's etc.....

My grandfather passed in that hospital. He would ever allow any child to be harmed. He had lost 2 beautiful children 20 km away and still looks after my grand children today

My mother took me to York when I was a child and I took a few photos of the hospital. A week later the photos where developed and in one of the photos you can see the nurse in the door window in different shades of grey and white as clear as anything, I never would have believed in ghost unless I took that photo myself.

2:43 Don't fall into the bad American habit of referring to first floor(one above Ground Floor) as "second floor". To have a "second floor," a building must have *three* levels, which would be *Ground, First and Second Floors* but as this building only has two levels, they are *Ground and First Floors.*
