Both, we have high drive, fully capable dogs that bring the best hips and structure/function. We use those in our program to create pets. We do not breed for high drive. We breed for thr best solid animals that will natural guard their families and be an easy keep too. And yes we sometimes test, we don’t breed dogs that can’t function and we’ve got the best Penn-Hip results for the breed to date

@chrisandgina10 ай бұрын
Yea, that's the crazy part. The Olde English Bulldogge is not the most lucarative bully breed, not by far. Our passion sure can keep us strapped. They eat ALOT. Sometimes I think breeding Yorkies would be alot more affordable, but I'd have no interest. And really no interest in fad breeds that are money makers either. Some people are all about the money, some rescues are too. No matter how you find your canine companion, just make sure you do your homework. Not everybody cares, the most expensive dogs might grow up in the worst conditions. You just never know

Absolutely, we raise glorified mutts. But the paperwork is not our priority, the sound temperament and gorgeous Bulldog Look is everything to us. And of course structure. I see all those kennels and think back yard breeders. Bulldogs need their family and pack. I love my OEB although by 4 he already has hip dysplasia, oral cancer, spine arthritis, and allergies to all grass, trees, etc. There is no real standard with OEB, they are all mixes of some sort. I don't think this was the intention of Levitt or Johnson. I love my bulldog so much but think I'll stick with high end yet loving AKC breeders that I know through my rescue circles as I know what you expect in my pups as they grow up and stay away from bulldogs as much as I love them.
@chrisandgina10 ай бұрын
Hey, so sorry your guy is going through all that at, that's terrible and that is what we absolutely steer clear of. Did your breeders raise their dogs inside? My question is, the dogs living in the house like pets doesn't necessarily make them good breeders. Now here's the tricky part.. we raise kennel dogs so your clients can have healthy and sound pets living long healthy lives on their couches. We guarantee our productions health too. So yes, these are kennel dogs until they retire into pet homes, and the saddest part for me, is I have to sacrifice having one special pet so that the world can have their own. Not sure if that makes any sense, but because what we do, it provides our family homes with their best freind, but it makes it impossible for us to have one. If you ever want to adopt a young retiree, please reach out. Hope all goes well with you and your pup xo

@kazinmich603510 ай бұрын
@@chrisandgina I agree that dogs living inside as pets aren't good breeders either. There's a big difference between pet quality and breeding quality. The father's lines are amazing. The mother's lines, forget it.. and they stopped breeding her, but their daughter is now breeding the next generation as her hobby. It makes me mad. I know extremely reputable breeders, and yes they may have indoor/outdoor runs they use at times, but their dogs live inside together as a pack. They do use lots of crates and section off different areas of the house, especially when they have unaltered dogs, but they are still part of the family and not stuck outside with limited contact.
@kazinmich603510 ай бұрын
@@benharding8424 I don't think the lines are the same at all. Of course they did not give me the paperwork as promised, they showed it to me, and then gave me a folder with everything, and removed that piece. The father's lines are out of Texas. The mom was their pet, beautiful, great pictures, and in person gorgeous and healthy, active, but yes, their pet. My adult daughter fell in love and wanted to have him as a service/therapy dog, and we ended up just ignoring reason and getting him. I don't have regrets, just disdain for people who breed their pets, who don't do health clearances, who don't have enough money to breed because it's expensive and if you don't have money then things get overlooked or ignored to be able to bring in a profit. Breeding should not ever be about the money, it should be about the love and betterment of a breed. Sound health, temperament, and some type of standards.
@kazinmich603510 ай бұрын
@@chrisandgina thank you for responding too. I'm at my resident dog limit, two boys. I foster a third, usually puppy mill dogs, byb rescues, shelter dogs, and owner surrenders. It's easy to house train a kennel dog, and they usually are very eager for attention and have no manners, have separation anxiety, etc. Rescue is my passion and learning each dog's personality and needs and matching them to the right family who have the same energy levels and personalities. I've learned so much in the last 18 years, especially how important socializing is for these pups to thrive.
