This may be one of the most incredible videos I have seen so far. If you have ever served in a military unit where you do a lot of walking, you know just how important it is to have boots that fit well and protect your feet. Same with hiking. The amount of craftsmanship that went into making this pair was simply unbelievable. Thanks so much to everyone who made this video. Watching from North Carolina USA.

I am In Michigan But my Home is East Tennessee So These Boots are Absolutely What I Have been trying to find. I bought The Last Two Pair Of The 511 Apex Six” Boots One and The Same Color Brown and a Black Pair. They Discontinued That Boot. I Wear The First Pair of the Brown Wedge Sole Boots and The Bottom Heels are getting Wore But Everything Else Is Nice and Soft. But The Brand New Sets I have Tried on And That’s All. I Ordered the Brown On Their Web Site then the Black Ones Because They Were Literally The Very Last Set Available.

I've been looking for boots, my old Fabianos are shot, I like the double handstitched vibram soles and the skill and quality of the bootmaker. You can tell this bootmaker is an expert and takes great pains on every single step to make the finest boots, his pride shows in every move.

These are my boots being made last year. They fit like a glove. The most comfortable footwear I have ever used. If you ever make it to Korea, you need to get your feet measured and get a pair made and shipped to you. Took about a month to get them after getting fitted for them. Worth every penny. I get compliments when I wear them around town.

22:20 - the caption is wrong. He isn't working on the toe cap, he's installing a heel counter. This is to keep the heel from falling apart, and to help locate and stabilize your foot in the shoe. As someone who's been getting into boot construction lately, especially hand made, high durability boots this video is fascinating. There are some good things going on with these boots, but there are a lot of bad things too. These are a very modern construction, not like the older styles of boots. I'm wondering how old this factory really is? We have a company here that has been making boots for 125 years, and they are still use about 80-90 percent of that old process. Sometimes the older methods are superior.
@tml851910 ай бұрын
Hello, I agree with that sometimes older methods are superior especially when I have champagne. So can you explain which parts of this process are bad things than old process for me? I’m interested in boots making process and I want to know about the process you pointed out. Thankyou.

Peter Limmer and Sons, Custom Bootmaker out of New Hampshire has been making handmade custom fit hiking boots in the U.S. for 100 years. You have to make a pilgrimage to New Hampshire to be fitted and then the wait begins, which could be up to a year or more. Or you can purchase one of their three models in standard sizes, off the shelf, which are produced by a bootmaker Limmer contracts with located in Germany. They're not custom made to your foot but it is quicker, and they are very well made.
