I have loved the model a Ford for over 50 years. Even now it's great to learn something new through your video. Thank you!

Glad you enjoyed it! We stumbled upon the story while researching something else and thought it would be of interest to some people.

Great video! The Model A with twin bumpers kinda reminds me of a 90s Jeep Wrangler in stature.

Are there any documented cars within the first 200 that have survived ? It would be great to hear from the owner regarding how they found/acquired their Very low production car. I really enjoy your KZbin channel too! Thanks

The answer to your question is...kinda. More amazing is that there are at least 2 known prototype Model A's that exist. These were built during the design process in the summer very early fall of 1927. Thanks for watching we appreciate the support!

Model A #1 does exist! Henry Ford gave the 1928 Tudor to his good friend Thomas Edison, who then asked if he could have an open car. Ford took it back and rebodied it to be a phaeton. Model A #1 is currently on display at the Model A Ford Foundation Museum at the Gilmore in Hickory Corners Michigan.

Cool vid -it'd be interesting to know how many of those first 200 cars survived.

We hope to one day do a video on those first few vehicles. There's a lot of myth and folklore out there about them.

@@AModelA Undoubtedly! I know of very basic things like Model T light lenses used in early A's, but the actual list would have to be long.

Interesting to see this Model A out and about one month before my first car (a Model A Tudor) was made in November, 1927, in Hamilton, Ontario. I just ordered a Bentley, but even that can never replace that first car of mine and what it still means to me.

We never forget our first car. Luckily yours was a Model A!

@@AModelA I had two friends with Model A's. They were quite common well into the 1960s. Wards still had a separate catalogue with everything from engines to fenders.

The Lincoln Hotel makes perfect sense as the Model "A" was a "baby Lincoln".

HA! We didn't put that together but that's brilliant. Wish we had thought of it!
