What's the support like for these? Will it still be supported in 5 years? can they be worked on like a Segway Standard 2-Wheel?

In the UK you may be able to get funding through the Department For Work & Pensions - Access To Work scheme or using your Wheelchair Voucher. If you live in the Land Of The Free, you may have other schemes.
