@@lauz2486 yeah, at first the whole point of his character was like, can the beast actually be good, is someone who did terrible things for good reasons evil, they were asking all the questions with him, and he was the guy you never knew if you could/should trust or hate because he always had hidden motives, but at some point it just became about well he might as well be the bad guy this arc and we'll make him good the next, until season 7 when they finally decided to give him his final redemption

Yeah her real singing voice really shows in the final song. To be clear though, I don't think her lower voice is really all that bad. I could tell she was doing that thing where she was singing/talking while also in character as Regina in The Queen Sings and when she sings Love Doesn't Stand A Chance, I could tell she was going for the kind of rocker vibe. I think the vocal range she did fit well with the song and her normal vocal range probably wouldn't sound right. Now this is coming from someone who isn't a vocal coach and this is purely my own personal opinion.

As you’ve probably realised, the actor and actress portraying Charming and Snow are married in real life, so the absolute adoration you see on their faces is *true.* With Lana Parilla, portraying the Queen, that’s *not* her normal singing voice hence why it’s so deep. As for Hook’s actor, he’s naturally Irish, but had to sing in a British accent, so imagine the difficulties there as well as *breaking his foot* during performing the song!

Some basic info: The Wicked Witch (Zelena) and the Evil Queen (Regina) are sisters. The wicked witch has a baby with Regina’s now dead boyfriend because when he was alive the wicked witch tricked him into sleeping with her. (Side note: When Emma gave up Henry when he was a baby, Regina adopted him so she is his mother too.) Snow and Charming do have a baby because Snow was sad she didn’t get to raise Emma so they had a son in Storybrooke (the town they live in). The Black Fairy is Rumplestiltskin’s mother who also doesn’t age because of where she lives. And rumplestiltskin sometimes is good and sometimes is evil. Also, everyone has fairy tale names like Captain Hook, Snow White, Evil Queen. But they also have real names. (Like how Superman’s real name is Clark Kent) Captain Hook’s real name is Killian Jones and Prince Charming’s real name is David Nolan. I don’t know if that cleared anything up, because the show is veryyy confusing!! (Also I am so glad you watched the whole episode because I was dyingggg for you to hear Hook’s song!!!)

When you know what's going on, I think the tone of the Wicked Witch's song is perfect, and intentionally hilarious. When you know her whole backstory and motives, it makes sense. She's singing about her sister being full of sorrow, and the tone is all motivational and uplifting because she's been waiting years for her sister (Regina) to be vulnerable and rejected by Rumplestiltskin so she can step in and get everything she wants. It is a happy and motivational song because she's happy and feeling motivated. It's sort of supposed to be sarcasm in the form of lyrics and a contrasting melody.

As someone who is obsessed with once upon a time, your comments on everything made me laugh so hard. I’ve rewatched the musical episode about a hundred times, but I never noticed any of the things in their voices that you pointed out. They’re so clear now after hearing you say them. I definitely agree that the Evil Queens song was way to low for her voice. Here are some things I have to say: - I agree, the green screen kind of sucked but after watching 7 seasons with it you get used to it. - I don’t recommend questioning the family tree of this show if you haven’t watched it all- they’re practically all related anyways. - when you asked if Regina (Evil Queen) and Zelena (Wicked Witch) we’re in love, I died of laughter. They’re actually half sisters, again, everyone’s practically related. The Wicked Witch has a daughter, Robin, with Robin Hood (he’s dead now 🥲). The Evil Queen dated Robin Hood but the Wicked Witch didn’t, so that’s quite confusing. - The Black Fairy is Rumplestiltskin’s mother, she basically keeps children captive in a place called The Dark Realm. - Rumplestiltskin had a lot of good and bad phases, I think it’s safe to say that he is mostly bad but occasionally good. - Hook’s song: Revenge is Gonna Be Mine, is my favorite as well. Colin, the actor, really does have an amazing voice.

Emma's appearance was definitely altered after her return from being the Dark One (season 5) They put less makeup on her and had her hair up more.
