Can a Propress fitting withstand the torqueing of nipples and threaded adapters? For example, it's common to see people make their own tub spout nipple using a short length of copper with male adapters soldered to each end.

ProPress fittings can be turned after pressing for adjustment but this does lead to them also being turned if the MIP or FIP is not connected before the press is made. The fitting must be repressed if turned. In the tub spout situation we suggest using the drop ear elbow. Basically press out the top with Brass FIP and mounting holes to hold it stable.
