Obviously if the show is brand new nothing exists yet. But since most shows that tour are musicals. A recording of a song with some concept images could work. The Met Opera will often feature a themed still photo over some music for their upcoming season. So an approximation of what the audience is going to see is often enough to get a feel. I often watch the performances on the thanksgiving parade and the tonys to figure out what i want to see if it tours. My touring house has an interview with a cast or creative person along with video footage from the production to give us a taste. Something like that along with scenes or songs from rehearsal just might be it.

IOne idea is to make a concept video with acouple of scenes that after a reading gets a good response with actors singing some of their best songs.---Loreen
