Drongo, Delhi has received many buffs for the past patches, their elephants are really strong (they can face their counter units in some situations), and because of that, Delhi currently has one of the best imperial. It's basically an A to S tier civ in 1v1 right now. Hell, on 4v4 some people rush imperial at 13 mins to stack the elephants handcannoneers.

"Worst imperial civ"??? That hasn't been true since initially buffed melee elephants. With the broken Dome > House of Learning meta, Imperial Delhi is terrifying.

This is true. Delhi is stronger in imp than any age now. Free upgrades and op elephants which a ton of cheap scholars for the healing.

Dear Drongo, regarding the championship you asked for suggestions, I guess one civ for each player would be really nice. But I believe it would be better of this to come in into the lottery format, not an previous nominee player/civ. For example, lets say there are 16 players, you can split them into 2 equally balanced groups. Each group of 8 players has a lottery for an unique civ for each player, the winers of each group face each other in the final bo7 fight.

Yeah it's an old mindset. Honestly Delhi was never bad in post-imp, but for a long time they were considered a bad imperial civ (often the worst) because of the huge delay before their imperial upgrades/techs finally came in. It meant that you'd need almost 15 minutes before the resource investment of aging up would finally pay off, but this was mostly before the Sultan's Ascend released.

@predwin1998 yes with the ToV build early imp is pretty slow. But all you need is elephant upgrades anyway :D

Also conversely I'm pretty sure HRE was mainly considered the best imp civ for a while because their power spike was nearly immediate. They could reach imp faster than anyone else and between their great landmark and solid early eco it would pay off very quickly. Once that initial tech lead faded out and you got into post imp with the opponent catching up in tech I don't think HRE was that special besides having stronger towers and access to culverin, the latter of which is no longer a big deal at all.

Mass Scholars and look for imperial for Delhi was always the goal as elephants in castle are weak. At least thats how i thought it plays. I always try to finish Delhi before imp upgrades are done or its gg
