● The power of the Gospel
● This was the command of Christ
● Who is the audience or recipient of this message?
● What is the real gospel?
1. Who is God? (Isaiah 40:28, Psalm 90:2)
● As God is everlasting & unchanging, so is the gospel (Malachi 3:6, Job 23:13)
● God is jealous, requiring glory & honor (Exodus 34:14, Deuteronomy 4:24)
2. Who is man?
● Sinful creation (Isaiah 59:2, John 3:19)
● Totally depraved (Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:1-3, Romans 5:12)
● Eternal consequence weighs heavy on man (Romans 6:23)
3. THE Way has been provided by God
● Man cannot do anything to earn salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9)
● Jesus Christ is the ONLY way (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, John 10:9)
