I don't think you should question the 2015 Broncos No Fly Zone defense's legendary status. Yes, we were in 12 1-score games during the regular season, but that was mostly because our offense was not very good, even with Manning at Quarterback. Out of all the regular season games that year, I would say our defense straight up WON 8 of those games for us give or take. We were the #1 scoring defense for a reason, and the dominance from both the front 7 and the secondary is what put that unit in the history books. You can say what you want about the TEAM not being the best Super Bowl winning team of all time, and I would agree with you. What's on paper shows that. But, c'mon man. That defense was simply phenomenal.

Another thing about this team's two season dynasty is that one can say this ended the AFL-NFL rivalry at four games each [NYJ, KC, Mia-1, Mia-2, GB 1, GB2, Bal, Dal]. Miami was a plug and play team for Don Shula and the Steelers were mostly built going forward from 1970 [Joe Green, LC Greenwood, Jon Kolb and Andy Russell being big exceptions. Entertaining video, ranking all the champs is no easy task. I will say using yards gained and allowed instead of/in addition to points would've been a useful stat. For example, you knock the 2015 Broncos for only having the 4th best d in points, but they had the #1 defense in yards allowed. Points allowed doesn't account for offensive turnovers, manning threw some awful ints in some of those games that made their defenses's job hell and their stats look worse for points. Points per drive is also a good stat for measuring offenses/defenses.

You have five teams from the 1984-96 Super Bowl Myth era over any of the 70's Steelers? The Steelers were loaded with HOFers, and these teams that won in the 84-96 era are vastly overrated. They are good teams that beat average to below-average AFC trash. Elway could go back in time with the team that he led to two SB's, and the 97 and 98 Broncos would beat the teams that beat them in the 80's (when Elway was the whole team). I do agree, though, with the bottom of the list. The 11 Giants ARE the worst SB champ ever. They were a Romo missed connection to Miles Austin (in Week 14) away from probably not even making the playoffs. I also agree with the 80 Raiders (who were ultra-lucky in the playoffs) and 01 Pats being in the bottom-10 (the 03 Pats should be in the bottom ten as well. They weren't much better, and they were even luckier).
@bryanjones44444 ай бұрын
He bases a lot of this on point differential which is unfair to the 70's teams as points were harder to come by in that era. Also one other flaw is that he does not seem to respect clutch play. Winning close games is also an important quality for any team just as scoring a lot of points and not giving up many is.
@rtchidc3 ай бұрын
@@bryanjones4444 Point differential consideration would only be unfair if play of teams across multiple seasons factored into the C-score of a team from a given season. I don't think that's the case. "Clutch wins" is I think overrated, insofar as there's any suggestion that decisive wins aren't more desired by teams, and aren't more indicative of higher quality of teams. I think Steve Young was once asked why he didn't have a high number of clutch wins or "come from behind" wins when he quarterbacked for the 49ers, and his response was that it was because they were usually winning by blowout.

As compared to the 7 HoF 85 Bears? 😂 Y'all are wild
@Fireyninjadog2 ай бұрын
@kyledabearsfan the 85 bears had a decent at best offense. Jim mcmahon played well, but compare him to brett favre? Yeah no. #1 in both offense and defense means you are an unstoppable machine

Would put the '81 and '88 49er teams against any of the next 20 higher ranked teams. Especially any NE or Pittsburg team jokingly ranked above them. Games aren't won on paper and one thing you aren't taking into consideration, Joe Montana didn't loose Super Bowls and neither did Bill Walsh.

Didn't "loose" Super Bowls?

They were 4-0 in Super Bowls but they had the league's best team 2 or 3 other times without making it to the Super Bowl.

The 85 bears are not better than the 84 49ers....we saw that in playoffs...how are the 89 and 84 49ers not top 3 to 4 each lol...and how are the packers top 3 and the first packers super bowl team so high...come on with the 91 redskins...look at the qb....terrible

Most overrated Team EVER!! Here are the stats. Lets go over the utter weakness of the schedule. At 8-6 Chiefs Vs 1-13 Oilers At 7-7 Vikings At 7-7 Jets Vs 4-9-1 Chargers Vs 4-9-1 Bills At 5-8 Colts At 4-9-1 Bills Vs 3-11 Patriots Vs 7-7 Jets Vs 4-9-1 Cardials At 3-11 Patriots At 8-6 Giants Vs 5-8 Colts NONE of these team made the playoffs, NOT ONE!!! 2 Winning Teams, NO team with 9 wins. Excluding the Dolphins, 6 other teams won 10 games or more. They played 8 games vs the worst 5 AFC teams. Now lets look at their playoff run, who they beat and how bad they beat them Vs 10-4 Browns - 20-14 Vs 11-3 Steelers - 21-17 Vs 11-3 Redskins - 14-7 If the other team gets 1 TD, the Dolphins record is 0-2-1 Now lets compare this playoff run to the 1983 Raiders run in the playoffs. Vs 10-6 Steelers - 38-10 Vs 9-7 Seahawks - 30-14 Vs 14-2 Redskins - 38-9

@@WillMuny The AFC was incredibly weak those first 3 years after the merger. AFL teams as a whole were on a totally different level than the NFL teams. In 1970 one of the worst Colt teams of the late 50's and 60's won the Super Bowl. They essentially got a bye into the big game and then won a close one over Dallas.

Just a clue. If your own customer made scoring system brings the ONLY perfect team in at 22nd, your system is wrong. Also 1st in Scoring on both offence and defence. In 5 out of 7 catagories, they cannot be beaten (record, 1-score record, 2+ score record, PF, PA) so SOS and playoff performance drop them that far? Stopped watching, sorry - but this it utter junk. Any semblance of realism is gone. Come back when you've grown a brain. That 72 team could have played every team twice and never lost.
