Post-grad depression is so real! I moved back home after I graduated, and it was difficult going from having so much independence at college to living with my parents again. Talking to friends later, a lot of them went through a similar thing. No one talks about it enough!

I graduated at 24 after having many hardships in school. I had no friends the entire time because I was older than everyone else and didn't party because I had no interest. It was insanely hard. I graduated with no job prospects and no internships. I am still not at my dream job but I am in a job that will help me get there so it is a step. I'm 29 now. Life has no timeline.

I just graduated high school and my post grad situation is literally the same as yours. It’s been so stressful and I’ve felt so alone. all my friends know where they’re going and what they’re doing, and I don’t. so it’s nice to hear that I’m not alone in this, thank you for being so open emily. you’ve helped me so much🤍

Congrats, Emily! Everyone has their own path and MOST college grads feel the way you do post grad. Maybe consider applying to Disney. There are positions open all over the company on the corporate side and they certainly could use somebody with Disney experience in your degree. Give it a thought. We wish you all the best of luck!!🙂 👩🎓

Everyone’s journey is different! I finished one degree and now I’m doing another! Some of my friends are working full time, some are still studying we’re only 23 we can control what we do in our life which is cool! I think everyone that goes to uni (I’m Aussie) or college goes through those emotions of what’s next, you’re not alone!

I’m still not over this amazing day for you. You looked so beautiful in your grad dress! IDK what Post Graduation feels like after college but it must be really difficult. I’m happy you’re doing better now and I look forward to seeing what the future brings your way. Hope you had the best time away and welcome back. Love you Bestie!!

When your degree doesn't necessarily line up with what you want to do for work, post-grad depression is even worse than normal. I majored in Fine Art, graduated, went to France with my husband (fiance at the time), got back, looked for any job within creative field for a month, and really began freaking out. I had no idea what I wanted to do for a career, and at the time, there was a lot of pressure on your career and success in your career defining you as a person. I feel like within these past couple of years, it's become mainstream to deconstruct that idea. But anyways, I jumped around for years before deciding to go back to school for dental assisting last year. It took me a long time figure things out, but it was perfect timing. Don't put too much pressure on yourself! As far as I'm concerned, you're already killing it with your KZbin channel!

Congratulations!! I graduated 3 years ago, and I'm still figuring things out, still changing my mind here and there. So are a lot of my friends! Career changes are just as okay and normal (but not talked about) as major changes.

For me, when I graduated (ucf btw go knights!) I went from basing my self worth off of milestones and achievements to not really having a clear goal to work towards. I had to rebuild a new life and identity for myself outside of college. I am 2 years post grad and thriving and happy! It wasn’t any easy road but it was beautiful and adventurous. After college you have an amazing opportunity to create whatever life you desire! Enjoy ☺️

sisterrrr, i resonated with literally everything you said! i graduated in december and i was in the same mindset! i graduated later than my peers, i (still) have no idea what i want to do with my life, and nothing really changed other than not having homework lol the world post grad is daunting because there’s endless opportunities and you don’t know where or how to start! im glad you are feeling better though! and i am so proud of you for pushing through college and getting your degree! i know it wasn’t easy! congratulations!!

Girl, congratulations! 1000% feel you about everyone having their own path. My college path has been the most convoluted and confusing one. I went to community college right after high school but kept hitting dead ends with what I wanted to major in. Graduated from that school and decided I wanted to take some time off...six years later, I figured out exactly what I wanted to do which now means I'm finallyyyyy going back to finish my undergrad and then going directly into grad school. Enjoy your time in Texas! It sounds exactly like what you need right now. 💖💖💖

Congratulations again Em! You did it though, you finished school! Honestly alot of people actually get their degree and can’t do anything with it so you’re not alone on that boat. I also took a gap year after high school and went into a 3 year program but i had to work in my field as part of my education so it was lined up. As for you, post grad depression can get you if you don’t have a plan but its okay. You have your whole life to figure it out and i hope you discover what makes you happy and go with it!
