THE ONE WHERE WE GAVE UP // Chickahominy River SUP Camping

Well... the second paddleboard camping trip did not go as planned! The original plan was between 8-9 miles each day, Day 1 on the Chickahominy, Day 2 turning onto the James. The river in this section is wide and flat, which slowed us down, as did the 90+ degree heat! Next time we come back here, we'll bring a motor!

Do you know if camping is allowed along the Morris Creek? Thank you. I had that lasagna a few times. The very first time when I prepared it didn't look very promising, but actually surprisingly it was very tasty.

Unfortunately, we have not been to Morris Creek so we are not sure if camping is allowed. We’re sorry that we can’t be more helpful! The lasagna was definitely better than we were expecting!

Haha! I bet you could as long as you have fuel! It’s called a Jetboil. Very nifty, the stove part and all the attachments (even fuel if you get a small fuel canister) fit right inside the cup portion. Boils water incredibly fast!
