Honestly I think Sol's story is a little sad the only thing that ruins it is his greed for revenge and honestly it spiced up Omen of the stars. That series left me on the edge of my seat all the time and is by far my top favorite out of all the series. Im just starting book 1 of A vision of shadows. Good luck to all fellow warrior readers!

I really liked Sol. Everyone hated him for no reason when he was first introduced. But he did convince Shadowclan to give up their beliefs in Starclan, for goodness sake, Sol. Stop offending Leafpool with questioning Starclan's authority. But also, he was blamed for Ashfur's death because why, now? Hmm. 'Cause Hollyleaf claims to have seen him a few days prior to the incident. ffff. I can't. Hollyleaf, your life depends on the warrior code and if it's broken, you are nothing. . . I give up. (I'm weird, I know.) One more thing, Sol isn't a 'bad' cat. He just never had parents that cared about him. His mother, Cinders, just told him and his siblings about the 'sky warriors' and told Sol they weren't real. Yada yada. Sol is the last to be dropped off at a twoleg's nest by his mother and the last words he hears from her are, "Be nice." or something like that. Whoo. Cinders was a terrible hunter so she never really had any traits to pass onto her offspring and her mate left her for a she-cat who was way nicer than her. I feel pretty sorry for Sol. He's been yelled at so many times. But I see the reason. Leafstar is just going by the warrior code and not wanting a bunch of foxes to find their clan. Sol, ye numpty.

*Mild spoilers I guess* I am a fan of Sol. He was never bad, he had a sad backstory, and he didn't become a killer because of it (cough cough Mapleshade cough cough). He wanted to eliminate the Warrior Code because he hated it (never got to understand it since he was never a warrior), and all he ever truly wanted was to be a warrior. While it was wrong for him to try to change the clan cats' beliefs, he wasn't evil, just a bit selfish since he went through a lot. I don't think he even understood StarClan well. I don't think he realized how helpful they are at times and that they aren't just dead cats. I think he was bitter because no one gave him a chance, and he was to show everyone more of his beliefs. I'm just glad for once to see someone who might be relatable to some people and understandable and not a mass murderer. Just my opinion from what I read, haha.

Sol is by far one of the most relatable cats, i see that but his childhood may have been corrupted and all but trying to convince cats who have been trained to hunt, fight, battle for their clan, their family that Starclan is just a bunch of dead cats and such is just. . . selfish and unnecessary. I understand he had a bad childhood but really. These forest cats are dangerous strangers who don't accept you so you might as well beat it and move along. You stole food from foxes and left an obvious scent trail for them to follow, are you that dumb? You may not be a good hunter, Sol but that is just no excuse for why you would even try to reason with hostile felines who have a right to kill you. Yes, Sol tried to warn them about the eclipse but he exaggerated it, saying that, "The sun will die." or such. It's not selfless in any way. He wants to help but. . . he just isn't.

Well....he doesn't understand StarClan. I never said he is selfless, but I did say he's not evil and would even go as far as to say he's actually....good. He doesn't understand StarClan, or the Warrior Code, and no one gave him a chance to understand it, either. *They don't have a right to kill him, that would be murder* , all because he's a rogue and has different opinions and *doesn't understand their lifestyle, even though he tried to, but no one gives a crap about him so he wants to show others his perspective* . He's a bad hunter that doesn't understand their ways and wanted to influence his ways of thinking. I believe he wanted to show them how he views things since no one explains the Warrior Code or any of that, so he wants to influence his ways, which are without StarClan and the Warrior Code. He's not a clan cat, but that doesn't mean he's bad. I never said most of those things you mentioned. He's not evil because he doesn't go around killing everyone. He just wants to be understood and be a warrior, and try to help in his own way. *Evil? No. Selfish and flawed? Yes. But I still think he's good.*

I understand your judgement, I do still like Sol in a particular way but in general, I don't really know why the Erins wanted to include him. He's just another one of those characters who brings along drama and trouble to the clans and then ends up dying, like all the cats die but, to me, he's uncanny. He isn't truly necessary to the story but in other views, he is *really* important to the story. Some instances are just unneeded. I know he doesn't know the Warrior Code but just going into the forest was a death wish. He had to have known what was out there waiting for him, waiting to hate him before he said a word. I understand how you can go as far as to say he's 'good' but in my opinion, he's just one of those wannabe characters who has a sad backstory, is hated by most, is judged before they can explain or defend themself and then is killed or dies naturally. I may be rambling but really, all in all, Sol was just looking for something new, something to be a part of. He wants to be understood, I know. He wants to be accepted, okay. But really, not taking the hint that certain others don't respect you as such and want you out of _their_ territory and home is understandable. Sol is a stranger to them, they've made very obvious statements. Sol just doesn't take it. What truly annoyed me is that Blackstar heeded his advice and even changed his name back to Blackfoot. I understand that Sol didn't really believe in those Starclan shenanigans but enforcing your false knowledge upon others isn't really the most obvious way to go. Yes, he just wants to _influence_ his ways, in which do not include or evolve around Starclan and the Warrior Code but can't he see that they don't want him here. He may not be evil. He just wanted to show his perspective but their lifestyle is sustaining them. So what if he wanted to be a warrior? I'm not trying to be harsh but if they don't approve of him, honey, it's up to the writers.

So it's ment to kinda symbolize that bond, and even make it look like Sol would have control over them (idk if that happens in the future as the next book is not releazed here yet) so It's basically Jaypaw, Hollypaw and Lionpaw hanging there :D
