@@ParadiseCity1329Yeah, I think he would've gotten at least 28 which would've put the record out of reach by a landslide. But his all-time numbers will likely never be reached. Those aren't just longevity numbers either because he was still playing at an All-Pro level at age 40.

Probably would've never played with Rodgers since he was drafted in 1988. He played with Farve for 3 seasons from 1992-94 and made the Pro Bowl all 3 seasons. In 92 he was the first ever triple crown winner and his last season had 18 TDs.

@@Frosty_tha_Snowman It's clear as day in the stats, especially when you consider that Gronk blocked more than Kelce on pass plays. Kelce ran way more routes than Gronk, but Gronk still got more TDs than Kelce ever did in a season.
@Frosty_tha_Snowman
@Frosty_tha_Snowman Ай бұрын
@shmeebs387 The game has totally changed. If you think Gronk is better than Kelce, and that Kelce can't block, you don't watch the Chiefs. This narrative is ridiculous. Gronk wasn't fighting off double teams and changing the game with laterals and forcing the entire league to adopt a new defensive scheme to stop him - also, Gronk was made of a material that cracked and fell apart after a few seasons, like a Composite baseball bat.
@shmeebs387
@shmeebs387 Ай бұрын
@@Frosty_tha_Snowman I know Kelce CAN block, but nobody is going to argue he was as good as Gronk at blocking. And I know Gronk got hurt. That's why I said at his peak. I'm talking about the year he broke the record for TDs for a tight end, 17. Kelce's best was 12. Since 2000, only two other players have caught 17 TDs, Davante Adams and Randy Moss (Jamar Chase might do it this year). That's a top tier WR season, and he did it as a TE.

Three different dudes and zero rings. I've been waching the NFL since 1963. Randy Moss may be the most physically-talented receiver I ever saw. But if I were starting a team and had to pick a No. 1 receiver there are at least 20 guys I'd choose over him -- guys that were also physically gifted, but who played hard and for the love of the game, not just when they felt like it.

I don’t like when people speculate what an older player could do in today’s league. Different eras, different rules, different levels of fitness, different players, etc. Personally I think players from the 40s (like Hutson) would get lit up and walked off on a stretcher. Even in todays league but especially in the 80s-2010s

It can’t be argued that Sterling had just as much talent as his brother, it could be argued that Shannon had as much talent as Sterling. There’s a reason that Sterling was a seventh pick of the draft while Shannon was a seventh rounder. That’s not a knock on Shannon, but Sterling Sharp would’ve been absolutely an all-time great, him got to stay together. Sterling didn’t have neck issues.

First father son combo on the list, this year and I DONT mean Rice. New record, 24 in 24. (I honestly wasn't aware of this being his father, but definitely remember his dad, Carl). The Alien takes over the top stop this year, Russ at QB, a stacked running room. That boy does some nonhuman things with his body to catch the ball!!😮 That's a cool thing to potentially be able to share, father and son. Steelers are known for familial players being in the league and offspring as well as siblings (even a grandchild back with Spillane) being well above average! I'm a diehard, bleed black and gold Steeler fan. Enough that there are only two things linked on my body, my faith and my team! I didn't realize who GP's father was. It was crazy seeing that name again, I had all but forgotten him, but remember him mostly from Tecmo 😂. Pretty sure I knew players better back then from games because we didnt have but four games a week(three Sunday, one Monday). You got a color breakdown on ESPN by Chris Berman. But that was it really for NFL coverage back then. Unless you were a Jerry Rice, Emit Smith, level name then the average fan probably didn't know much about players not on their team.
