The string might catch a bunch of dodges but it's so easily jumpable and you can just dodge diagonally up. Either that or you mix up your dodges so that it becomes a 50/50 at best

Theres a variation to this that i have discovered if you cant hit gc side light, instead of gc side light use jump side air then recovery if ur cannon is too stronf

A few inconsistencies in this video, like "dodge out" really being dodge left or the fact that usually its two separate strings due to the 22 dodge frames and some of it being jumpable, but its a good start for beginner cannon players.
