I'd like to get to platinum, I'm like 200 sr away, but playing solo is insane, I get platinum teammates who get 3 or 4 kills per match

When caught in a 50/50 gun fight, neither player with cover. For example running into someone during tac sprint. Is it better to go for a jump shot or drop shot? Or is each more beneficial in different scenarios?
