All he has for recovery is 5 mid air jumps, down B that acts as a short teleport, neutral B, side B, and one of the longest range up B's in the game. And he can go under the stage and make it to the other side with every special. Or without any specials. *pretty average recovery*

Coolest edge guards were either when I was playing younge link, I caught my brother jumping in and hit him with a fire arrow, short hop fire arrow, then up b. I would always go for a stage spike as it is really satisfying. Also, if your opponent is playing a character that has a recovery with a hitbox, you can counter that.

I’ve never heard “ledge” used to mean the edge of a platform. A ledge is a specific piece of stage geometry that allows it to be grabbed, grants invincibility frames, etc, whereas “edge” is a more general term (e.g. “edge canceling”)

In my understanding there is ledge guarding and then there is Edge guarding. Edge guarding happens usually when you hit them before they get a chance to grab the stage. Ledge guarding is hitting them back off the stage once they have already grabbed stage amd try to get back up.

1:00 watching roy hit king ddd in the middle of his upB made me realize i don't know how many recoveries work. I always thought Kingddd was invulnerable in his up B and I wouldn't have dared to hit him, I probably would have waited to punish his landing but that would have been much less effective. It might be nice to watch a video explaining how to exploit all the recoveries of all the characters. I am sure that with such a large cast, there are many things that we dont know.
