My guide to all the basics of Eternal Return. I hope that this guide will help out new players to get over the learning curve and to the FUN of Eternal Return as soon as possible! I spend a pretty long time on this video to make sure everything is in a good order with a good amount of information without being too overwhelming!

I'm new to ER and this game is unlike any other, which is amazing and also hard to learn at the same time, since there are so many unique things. I struggle which items can be found where (from which object, especially struggling with where meteorite and tree of life is besides the kiosk). This was really helpful!

Great video! I just found the game today (had never heard of it before) but was already addicted. And I do NOT like MOBAs. This was suuuuper helpful for me as its a bit overwhelming for me. like many mobas ER is though to learn and get good at, but i think NN did a ton of changes to help out new players a lot more

you should have elaborated on traps as they are easier to craft and more viable it would be very cool to see a new player put a gilloutine and wait in a bush to combo oneshot me with no transitions

Other good players and I agree that traps got a lot worse. It is harder to craft them since you get less and need piano wire (which is a very popular item). Also they dont give you mastery anymore

@@SmugDragonER you dont need rusty sword now and only 4 components, barbed wire drops a lot from wolves/bears which makes it a 1 zone in pond, there are hammers in pond which leaves out only piano, it's cleaner to craft

was super excited for the full release of eternal return but finding out it still doesnt have a playable server for OCE so the minimum is 200 ping, really sad. Wish I could play.

There as this one nadine player that played in KR with 70 ping. He later played on NA and EU with 200+ ping and was able to beat top players by just having insane macro, so you can do it with 200 ping. But i also understand that it is not fun

I think ER is a great game but like most MOBAs (league for example) getting into it is so hard due to learn curve. I wish the devs would hire content creators to create an official "how to play" guid efor beginners. Another major criticism I have for ER is I think early game should have more skirmish gameplay. The rush build thing kinda makes early game unexciting, and for newer players who just get ran down by experienced players who full build by day 1, likely will scare them off or make them frustrated (this will happen either way if they're new, but still annoying). They could achieve this by managing what tier items/loot you can get early so people can fight before they're essentially maxxed on gear, that makes the player have to think more about how they play early VS just loot simulator. Love the game either way though.

I think having different tiers of loot would make the difference between veterans and new players a lot bigger. Currently, it is tough for NA and EU since usually veterans play custom games, but they are very bugged atm, so the only way they can play is normal games.

Either that or make it so damage against players is reduced Day 1 so as to minimize griefing and early deaths and incentivize early grouping and power farming. The day 2 first objectives spawn also helped a lot, there's less pressure to your team overall. In our case, me and my squad abide by an etiquette of not initiating fights day 1 and against lone enemies night 1, unless attacked first. Now if only NN would make the tutorial less trash, that would be nice. Operator Nadja and the v-pad (in all its clunky glory) is a step in the right direction.

This issue is currently being worked on by the devs. They said to try this if you run into that problem: 1. Uninstall Eternal Return via Steam. 2. Delete these two leftover folders which uninstalling does not remove. (locations may vary) i. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\EternalReturn ii. C:\Users[YOURUSERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\NimbleNeuron 3. Reinstall Eternal Return via Steam. If unsuccessful, send a ticket.

I’m not sure if you made a mistake or if it’s just for trio squad queue only, but in normal games when I die before day 3, I was not able to respawn. I think if all of your teammates die as well, that completely ends the game regardless.
