wow thanks for this. I've tried telling people that not every EA is for everyone, has to fit the personality. And I see what you mean by smudging the results, I've seen the fake results screenshots .. almost easy to tell when you know what to look for. Thanks again, I'm following :)

There are lot of EAs put there which are profitable but depends on how much work you are dedicated to put it to work. monitor them, monitor market, optimise them. For me, the were key to learn manual trading.

True HFT programs can only be used by people/companies who have a lot of money to invest in the infrastructure to get their computers as physically close to the main exchange servers as possible. They also have to invest in the fastest internet and may even have a hard-wired connect to the exchange. So the use of HFT in the EA world is BS because the average trader at home has none of that. It's just a buzzword that's used to sell EAs, or generate commission for broker affiliates. You cannot use a third party EA to trade, period. First, you probably don't know how it works, so how do you know when it stops working? Second, what if the person/company who made the EA disappears and the market changes? You're screwed. The best way to make money trading will ALWAYS be to learn how to do it yourself and build your own EAs that make sense to you.

@@TradingHeroesMany props are allowing HFT for the evaluation phase, I have one that basically passes you in anywhere from 1 hour to 1 day on US30. I find with all EAs, they work until they don't and when they don't that's when they burn your account. Use them, if doing well, but periodically turn off and reset. My manual trading on M5 scalping is now 98.5%. I have passed several props on 100% on both phases, same company, first so-called live trade, they sp[liked the price, straight through my SL! Next time I had 100% wins and in M1, I was .02% over the daily drawdown for a split second...I was watching it like a hawk and potentially my final trade. It shows they are not after winners, but continuous losers. If they analysed traders able to get 100% wins, then just them on their ability and put them on a real live account and make far more from commissions and profit splits than they ever would from retakes.

No such thing as safer trades. You have to backtest your strategy before trading it.

I just came across your channel and the education is amazing. I am a newbie and I just started trading after reading a ton of books and watching long hours of KZbin videos. @@realdude007 I would suggest reading EVERYTHING you can find on the topic. Everyone has a slightly different take on it, so it's best to find multiple methods that are working for people and test them for yourself. For starters I would suggest Robert Prechter's book 'Elliot Wave Principle' and 'New Trading Dimensions' by Bill Williams. I personally think that Elliot Wave is a good way to see when a strong trend could potentially end, but I haven't found much use beyond that. But that's just me, others do well with EW as a primary indicator.

If they give you the full trading system formula and you've backtested extensively it for yourself, then maybe. But most vendors won't give out the secret sauce. "Mentoring" usually involves showing you how to change the settings.
