thank you for checking out the video Kenneth! This pattern absolutely crushes all over the west. I no longer live out there but took it with me to Idaho this past summer and ripped some lips with it, as usual! Enjoy!

I appreciate your grumpy intro monologue. It amazes me how many of today's "flyfishermen" use the trash flies to catch fish with no effort to learn entomology. Dumbed down to a feel good activity rather than a passion

Thank you Gus! And stay tuned as I'm going to be putting together a tutorial on a pattern that I've been slaying the bull redfish on soon! The Fort Pickens Special.

If I made the wing case out of elk hair, do you think that it will float?
@the_forgotten_angler2 жыл бұрын
It will work just fine, probably a little more coarse so potentially it will not be as durable, but it will work just fine. Good Luck and let me know how it works!

@@the_forgotten_angler I tried it with elk hair for the cripple wing and it works great. A little more coarse as you said but I really like it. I tied it with light pink dubbing to match the pmd hatch and it did the job. Thanks for the reply.

try and find the best bleached (the lightest color) comparadun hair you can get and keep it well coated with floatant and or dry shake of your choice. There are many days when I've had to estimate where the fly has landed depending on light conditions and will set the hook if I see a rise or a disturbance in the water surface in that area, and boom, the fish is there often! It is a killer bug. Thank you for checking out the video and channel!
