Mongol Rally - What is it?
The craziest motorized adventure in the world, created by the organization "The Adventurists". The organizers set very strict guidelines for this adventure:
- The maximum engine size of the vehicles is 1.2 litres.
- Donations for a charity of our choice.
- Start and finish are given. The route is left to our imagination.
For us this means exactly: A trip from Bern to Ulan-Ude in Siberia and back again. We once planned 2.5 months for it, but who knows, maybe our vehicles only make it just across the Czech border, then the whole trip will probably only take one day.
For this journey we need of course high-quality vehicles, which are up to the monstrous task and only a car brand can come into question: FIAT
"If nothing goes wrong, everything has gone wrong." - is the motto of the organizers.

Why do they do that?
Our main goal is to have an unforgettable adventure! We all would like to tell our grandchildren the episode with the broken wheel in Uzbekistan over and over again.

Brilliant work on editing, and filming. I love it, and truly felt sad when the film was over. What an epic journey, and in a tiny car. I know, because i owned a 1986 4x4 Panda for 3 years. It could take me anywhwere. And I am temted of getting one for the 2021 Mongol Rally. ;)

Would love to do this one day, and great video, but can I just ask..did you guys complete the rally with your own support van? the Fiat Doblo?...as im sure that doesnt qualify as a vehicle for this rally due to its engine size?

The Doblo had a 1.2 litre engine so it qualifies as a proper rally vehicle :)

They travelled with the double decker bus to the next city where they took some public transports to eventually catch a flight home. without the red bus in the pamirs they would be still there
