If you know anything about Nepal is that it’s linguistically diverse due to various tribes. Most of the Nepali people in fiji originated from the area near nepal and bihar and most of the nepalis there speak bhojpuri. My aajis mother was nepali but immigrated to fiji.

Oh , they have given a name of village - “ Helambu “ . Do you know there is whole area of village called Helambu, and famous trekking for tourists as well. Coincidently , I had trekked only once in Nepal, that was In Helambu, which took me 7 or 8 days , before I left abroad from Nepal . It was more than 3 decades ago…. You mentioned Moshi named “ Sharmila” , which is my beloved wife name as well.…… I live nowadays far way from Nepal ( in Europe) and visit for family annually, however Fiji is even the furthest away from Nepal, probably !!! It is highly expensive to travel Nepal from Fiji , I suppose . But nothing is impossible . Hope you and your family may able to visit one day, in Nepal. The fruit you were showing is called In Neapali “ Rukh Katahar” ( Tree pineapple ) the 2nd kind is called “ Bhui Katahar “ ( ground pineapple ,which grows underground) . Both of them grow in Nepal too. Thank you for making video of your family visit.

Why are they speaking hind like language? What's the background to the language? Can they still speak typical Nepal as well?
@pranavr978324 күн бұрын
Because even in nepal there are multiple language. Over 100. And not everyone use nepali as their main langauge. Nepali language it self is from khas kura. Can we expect people to learn it when there are kirati language who also have been mentioned in mahabharat like khasas as a langauge bhojpuri, maithili, newari, like the list goes on.

Multiple language in nepal. One they speak right now are also nepali langauge. The nepali nepali is khas kura or langauge of the khasas even ib mahabharat, while there are langauge like kirati which are also as the old. So we can not expect people to speak nepali when there is so few population of nepali. There are african and asian groups and speaking bhojpuri or maithili help them more than a language that very few speak. And nepali that we say as nepali is khas kura. In nepal it is usefull, but when you go out of nepal how usefull is it. That expalins alot expecically when kirati comunity ecpalined langauged of kirati chnages by place to place. Diffrent word diffrent meaning and so on. Here we are talking about land so far from southern asia. Did you even know just in south india there are village called nepali , nepali khas bramin and chetri have been in south india for thousand of year. Dwarika desh dham and jagarnatpuri as well as bardinath main idol is or have saligram. So how much did nepali travel. Saligram only found in nepal. Reason king of nepal can fo ritual that priest of such temple leave only for king of nepal like in jagarnath puri.

They donot have too. Do you have relative over seas. Do their children speak nepali. Most will speak english or langaugae they are used too. Remember they went to figi like centuries ago. Beside nepal has so many langauge as nepali langauge. The main spoken is khas kura langauge of the khasas even mention in mahabharat similar to kirati langauge.
